  • It is good, i love it
samflam is a work of art, it changed my life, it was slept on by the uncultured masses, and it deserves praise and to be held up in the highest regard. the characters are all unique and interesting, with understandable and relatable struggles, particularly our protagonist, Masayoshi. the show presents morality in a fascinating light, neither black nor white. different characters have differing ...

  • A brilliant idea done badly.
This show is a brilliant idea done bad. Just stop watching at the halfway mark.

The first half is unexpected, and brilliant while the last half is cliche and tiresome.

100% worth a watch, but 100% not worth finishing. Which is a real shame given how unique it is.

  • Wild Ride Through and Through
I almost always read the reviews before I watch a show, so I thought that I was prepared for the crazy ride that was about to happen. Still, i was surprised again and again with plot twist after plot twist. Everything was just ridiculous and hilarious, though this type of humor may not be for everyone.

It is true that half-way through the 22 episodes, I got rather tired of the same format for ...

  • Samurai Flameco: Buck-Wild the anime
Before you watch this show, it's good to know what you are getting in for, because it starts out like the comic "Kick-Ass", then drastically changes later on that completely alter what the story is about. Also this is quite a show you will either love or hate, and I think it helps to know there is a huge twist at ep 7 ( won't say what it is, check the spoiler section.)
Over all, I would give ...

  • LOVED THIS [email protected]$$ ANIME!
This anime was so much fun from start to finish. Definitely not one to be taken too seriously, but it's highly entertaining for anyone who's willing to just sit back and enjoy the ride of a show that gets progressively more and more outrageous as it sends up as many classic anime and superhero shows (Voltron/GoLion, Sailor Moon, Power Rangers) as it can squeeze into 23 episodes. And it's not all ...

  • Bizzarre decisions that court absurdity while never letting the audience truly in
Samurai Flamenco is a bizarre show. The first 7 episodes are ostensibly a Japanese take on the idea of an everyday hero, similar to the American comic book/movie series Kick Ass and for those first 7 episodes you have a really good buildup and development of that story idea. That idea is promptly shoved out the airlock as the series begins to warp and bend in upon itself, making absurdist ...

  • unique and satisfying
This show plays on tropes in a delightful way that just builds and builds as it goes on. You think it hits a limit and then nope it keeps going. Not to be taken too seriously. Characters were certainly unique and memorable...
    Enjoy the strange ride.

  • Pushing it with 5 stars, but it deserves it
I usually reserve 5 star ratings for my absolute favorite shows, which SF is not, but it still deserves it. Super original/bizarre plot. Great writing. Mature dialogue and character development. Honestly, I can't think of another anime quite like it. Except maybe One Punch Man and that's a bit of a stretch. (Actually they're kinda of opposites that end up in a similar place.) For some reason, ...

  • VERY UNCONTENTIONAL IN A LOT OF WAYS
It's really hard to explain what's so different about this without spoiling it.

Most stories these days follow pretty basic structures, so you can usually predict the whole plot based on the genre and tone. Samurai Flamenco completely breaks away from this idea.

That said, that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. I'm giving it a good rating because I really appreciate how different it is, ...
