The most important anime of this generation
Every once in a while an anime speaks to you on a philosophical level. Shimoneta is that anime for me. Nevermind the fact that it's hilarious; or that it’s even made more hilarious because of the censorship/editing. The only thing I love about this anime is I 100% support S0X. I don’t wish to live in a world devoid of dirty jokes, I abhor the thought of the most prudish of prudes setting policy on ...

    Ruined by CENSORSHIP
This is a catalog Funimation title that has already been released on home video. Not a simulcast title. Crunchyroll should have gotten the uncensored version that Funimation gets. It isn't just the verbal jokes that are "**" censored in dialague but all the censor icons covering stuff up on screen.

This anime will make you say "WTF AM I WATCHING"
Imagine you're a teenager in a Japan where teaching or learning about Sex, human anatomy, etc IS ILLEGAL. Now add in "super"heroes who know what sex is and try to save humanity by putting panties on their faces and distributing porn, lube, condoms, etc to the community. Add in some REALLY FKING DISTURBING STUFF and you have this masterpiece. Get read to drink some "love nectar". *vomits*

Anna is the good kind of crazy
So glad this is finally out on CR. I guess after the first few episodes of Darling in the Franxx they were like "Okay, why the hell not?"

This is a fun silly show with a lot of censored portions and has spawned quite a few memes... but there's definitely a few statements being made here that are pretty serious. Worth the watch. You'll probably binge through it in a few hours.

decent show, suffers from censorship, complete waste of Anna an amazing character and setup
It's a dystopian future right out of orwell's playbook, a world where mobile technology has allowed the government to spy on every citizen and thanks to laws passed by the puritans in power, punish anyone who does or says anything even remotely lewd. The cast of Shimoneta are underground rebels hoping to educate the public and restore this oppressed dystopia to a free world where people can say ...

A funny show with a really long title
This is not for everyone. Jokes get dirty, and they use funny censors to get through what they legally can.

I haven't had a hard laugh at a comedy anime in a while. While a few of the pranks are overly childish, the series goes to lengths to point out how absurd such a society would be. There is even good food for thought between the gags.

The tone gets more serious (but not too serious) ...

    Good, but ironically censored.
This show takes the idea of censorship to its logical extreme, with wacky characters and ridiculous situations to comedy it up. The show is smart, fun, and interesting, but I'm docking 1 star for the annoying and ironic censorship. It's not like the uncensored version is especially graphic, either, and the censorship method used here is the most annoying type where there are sprites floating ...

    funny show to watch.
saw it online glad it finally got added to crunchy roll i need more so heres something from the wiki page In a dystopian future, the Japanese government is cracking down on any perceived immoral activity from using risqué language to distributing lewd materials in the country, to the point where all citizens are forced to wear high-tech devices called Peace Makers (PM) at all times that analyse ...

    Hilarious and sexually funny
I could actually use all the jokes in there in real life because they are that good. The way they portrayed a world without sex or any knowledge of it it accurate and funny. They pushed on some things but i never got bored until the end. Worth watching with friends for some major lols.
