Amazing start, hope it keeps it's momentum
A very funny shortform comedy format about a very handsome Bookseller and his interactions with his customers and coworkers. It's simple but sweet and hilarious. My 5-star rating is only based off the first episode, but if it can continue to keep up this level of quality for 12 or 13 episodes, it definitely deserves it.

Very good anime , needs Season 2.
This anime is at least 7/10 overall rating and definetely needs a season 2. Honda-san shows his struggle trying to satisfy all customers even if they don't deserve it. The masks sure made everyone look unique and easily recognizable. The soundtrack music of the anime is very good as well as it fits the proper mood.

An actual insight into the life of booksellers, with a twist!
My friend suggested this anime to me, and I wasn't sure about it at first. I like comedy and I loved Bakuman, so I thought I'd give it a chance, and I'm glad I did. It's built mostly around sketch comedy, but every joke is centered around a real world problem that booksellers, or just retailers/office workers have in general. The fact dropping is very much similar to Cells at Work, another show ...

    Enjoyable Jumble Of Fun
    Ep1 Review
Honestly not quite sure what I watched but I certainly enjoyed it. Great tie ins to the overall manga and anime communities. Definitely worth watching episode one, hopefully they keep things fresh and enjoyable until the end of the season. But as trends show often this one season comedy shows go stale after a couple episodes so we will have to see. Definitely worth an episode or two at ...

  • Thank you, Honda-san
The episodes are about 10 minutes long each. That fits what this show tries to do for the audience.

Honda-san shows us the joys and fears of the job. He consistently gets a laugh from me.

I recommend you watch one episode at the end of your day instead of binging.

  • If in a mood for zany comedy, look no further
Honda-san is a very relatable anime if one has ever worked in retail or dealt with customers. Also, very funny in both over-the-top and realistic way. You know, life.. Not to mention the OP is called ISBN... (I see what you did there...)

There's no plot; it's a retelling of Honda-san's daily life as a retail employee at an unknown bookstore in Japan and just what kind of trouble real-life can ...

  • Behind-the-scenes look at working in a bookstore
I was kind of worried that everyone was wearing masks, but it makes more sense after the first few episodes. Everything's pretty sparse in terms of animation, sound, and even length (just 12 minutes per episode), but this anime isn't really supposed to be about those things.

Stick with it for the story of what it's like working in a Japanese bookstore and all the things the employees (including ...

  • If you've worked retail before, you'll love this show
This show has humor for book fans as well as those that have worked in retail before. Seeing Honda-san deal with different requests and customers is a really funny and endearing experience. You also get to see how the supply chain works in Japanese bookstores as well as the networking aspect of the business. The music is a great little relaxer and the style of animation is great for the ...

  • Kinda makes me want to work in a bookstore...
Kinda makes me want to work in a bookstore, which is funny considering, that's far from the intention of the writer behind this one.

This workplace comedy delves into the hectic day to day workings of a bookstore. It features colourful cast who do all they can to stay on top of work.

Short and sweet. You'll have a few laughs as you watch this secretly on your work computer.
