  • Easy going and fun show
Very relaxing and fun, entertaining show - different pace and topic from other series, so I would recommend to anyone. Short episodes make it easy to follow or marathon, nice window into Japanese culture or bookstore culture - Give it a try! Give it a try! Give it a try! Give it a try! Give it a try! Give it a try!

  • Retail be like that sometimes
Honda-san strikes very close to my heart, as someone who has gone through the grind of the retail machine, I could defiantly relate a whole lot to the characters of this show. From Honda-san's anxiety to pick up the phone to sitting through absolutely draining training seminars, this show hits the nail on the head of the retail experience.

The art direction is great, the comedy is top notch, ...

  • Amazing short watch!
I don't know what captivates me about this anime so much... but I love it. The art is great, it's colorful and expressive... I think it conveys the emotions of how workers feel really well too. I mean, I've definitely gone through some of the emotions in this show at work! I would definitely recommend this for anyone to watch.

  • An under rated anime
If you are a slice of life anime lover or you love manga this show is a must watch. Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san is in my opinion the sleeper top 5 anime candidate for this season. Due to the main characters not being able to show much emotion the VA's do a great job of conveying it with how they talk and supported with background imagery. Each episode consists of about 3 short stories of Honda ...

  • hilarious and fun to watch
this anime was hilarious and the main character is just so lovable. this anime is a short - with 10 minutes per episode, so it's not hard to breeze right through it.

had some moments where i laughed out loud. really fun to watch and I enjoyed it! I would recommend if you are interested in easygoing, feel-good, simple anime.

Very good anime , needs Season 2.
This anime is at least 7/10 overall rating and definetely needs a season 2. Honda-san shows his struggle trying to satisfy all customers even if they don't deserve it. The masks sure made everyone look unique and easily recognizable. The soundtrack music of the anime is very good as well as it fits the proper mood.

  • Relatable Bookseller
As someone who works in a bigger bookstore, I can confirm that this is by far the most accurate representation of what it's like to work there. The characters are hilarious, the art is great, there are really subtle easter eggs that fellow booksellers (or avid readers) will catch right away (one example being in the opening theme). They're the perfect length to watch during your break at work, or ...

  • book selling isn't that simple
First off, I loved that no one's face was actually a human face in the store. It added that bit of quirk and mystery to how people are judged. All the episodes were funny and it was quick. I would say each episode was a stand alone enough that you could watch the episodes randomly and still understood the majority of the series.

I particularly loved the BL episode

  • Kinda makes me want to work in a bookstore...
Kinda makes me want to work in a bookstore, which is funny considering, that's far from the intention of the writer behind this one.

This workplace comedy delves into the hectic day to day workings of a bookstore. It features colourful cast who do all they can to stay on top of work.

Short and sweet. You'll have a few laughs as you watch this secretly on your work computer.

  • If you've worked retail before, you'll love this show
This show has humor for book fans as well as those that have worked in retail before. Seeing Honda-san deal with different requests and customers is a really funny and endearing experience. You also get to see how the supply chain works in Japanese bookstores as well as the networking aspect of the business. The music is a great little relaxer and the style of animation is great for the ...
