Reincarnation isn't all it's cracked up to be.
This 13 minute anime initially strikes me as a mediocre show playing off historical battles again, but this time set in Chinese history and a twist of occult magic with a card base. I will not compare this to Fate/Stay Night because despite initial similarities they go in different directions. Initially it is heavy on action, and very short on plot or explanation for the MC or the viewer as it ...

The filters.... For all that is holy make them go away...
Ill be honest here, this anime uses some sort of watermarked filter type nonsense with splatters appearing on the screen for no good reason.
I feels like they tried to be artsy and it fails them.
The only thing I can recall with vivid detail from Episode 1 ( please note it has not been 2 minutes since I watched the bloody thing. ) is the filter nonsense.

    Familiar story, Terrible Overlay Effect
    (Episode:01):

The story is able to keep my interest so
far. There isn't anything that I could say is
    bad at this point.

It is similar to other certain animes,
but this is only the first episode. So,
we'll see how this plays out and how
it'll set itself apart from those.

The most notable issue is the constant dirty overlay
effect that is over the entire video. To make it ...

What happens when the animators try to channel thier inner artist
It looks like someone left all the cells (painted in water color) in their backpack overnight and it rained. That distraction makes it incredibly hard to follow the story. I felt like I was watching my 1980's copy of Akria on VHS for the 1,000th time through a dirty player that was plucked from a junk yard....

As for the story... who knows. I have a sinking feeling that the filters are ...

    What's it all about?
In addition to the annoying color filter, I don't really get the story. I watched the 2 first episodes and it leads nowhere. At least kill off one "obstacle" per episode, so it's possible to understand what the story is all about. Watching one and a half episode where the protagonist runs around like an idiot, without a clue of what's happening, is kind of booring. I'll file it under "watch when ...

SO TERRIBLE YOU'LL GET WATER MARKS ALL OVER YOUR PANTS!
This show looks like the production team jizzed all over it. It completely ruins the and sense of atmosphere and seems cheap and lazy, not thanks! It's a shame because the animation itself looks to be decent quality and could be really enjoyable if not for the terrible overlays that get spunk all over your screen.

I'd rather watch Fate or even the dubbed version of Fullmetal Alchemist....what a ...

Fire the trainee who did this
Who in their right mind would leave that filter on? Did they use some sort of HDD recovery program because they lost the entire production or something? Absolutely terrible to watch. Distractingly stupid.

It starts out with some generic story, then puts the dumbest looking overlay/filter on the entire episode. I've never seen something this retarded.

    Not a fan. Fate/Stay Copy?
I think most of us have already stated the fact: the filter / watermark they have going on in the show is extremely annoying and distracting. Secondly, I feel like this is a Fate/Stay mockery with the "cards" and the "game" they're playing. The overall animation is okay but its that damned filter that is taking away from the quality and patience to continue the show. I'm not one for just ...

    Worthwhile? Perhaps.
There are similarities to other anime, this is just based off episode 1 hence the neutral rating (3/5). But if you enjoyed anime like Fate/Stay it has a slight feeling similar to it where past "heroes"/entities are brought forth into a worldly game.

Now I will say that I agree with others in that the overlay filter is rather annoying or doesn't really help the anime. In fact I think it makes it ...

    Sloppy take on Fate/Stay Night
I'd like to say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but at this low level, it's hardly flattering at all. This is a poor attempt at a Fate/Stay Night clone with no depth what so ever and the shadow effects, and art are just terrible. I'm dropping this after giving it 4 episodes.
