  • The old high school story done right!
This show really appeals to all audiences, it has it all: drama, love, friendship, tears, and lots of smiles and laughs. The story is very simple, sure you can guess the general plot from the title alone, but the way the story is animated makes you enjoy it so much. The characters and voice acting fit very well. The flow of the story is very smooth, it almost feels like you really are part of the ...

    I'm in love with Tuba-kun
This, hands down, was the best anime I've ever seen. I've never related to an anime ever, and it really showed the drive some people feel to improve on their instrument! I really wish they would make Tuba-kun key chains and season 2 of Sound! Euphonium! <3 <3 <3 Best anime ever tbh

    Death has come for me!
I was so excited when this series first came on. I've played euphonium for the past eight years, so needless to say i was already floored by the emotions. Seeing music anime and how popular they've gotten really punched me right in the feels, and this only strengthened that punch. Now I'm more breathless than after a hard marching practice(go all band geeks)

  • One of the best anime i've seen in a while.
Gave me so many feels, has some shoujou ai and i love it. It was animated so well, this work from KyoAni really is giving me hopes for their future as their earlier titles were not so great.

I would love to read the novel if it is avaliable.

Overall 5/5 for me, who doesn't love music, romance, friendship and beautiful animation.

  • Think K-On! as a somber drama but not THAT serious.
Take K-On!, reboot it as a serious drama (save for the occasional plucky comic relief (Midori/Sapphire and Hazuki) and sweatdrops) and you got Sound! Euphonium. This show is the sleeper hit of the Spring 2015 season and I wish it could have been a little more lighthearted and not focused on too much melodrama. The best parts are a lovable lead heroines and their beautiful character designs. But ...

  • A Must for Band Geeks
As a fellow band member, and euph lover, I really enjoyed this series. The Beginning started off a little different than I expected, but over all, an amazing piece of art! Every Single instrument was down to the every detail, and the plot was stunning. Near the end, I was the slightest bit discouraged, seeing as though there was no second season. I know it is a little early to say that, but It ...

A Phenomenal Series from Start to Finish
Sound! Euphonium has quickly become one of my favorite shows of all time. First, the animation is beautiful to behold; Kyoto Animation outdid itself, particularly with respect to the instrument details and performance scenes. The story itself is straightforward—a dysfunctional high-school band rallies behind their up-and-coming superstar music teacher to compete for a trip to the Nationals—but ...

  • The band geek's dream anime
Most music animes focus on pianists, violinists, rock bands, or vocalists. While this isn't inherently bad, it can get quite ... boring. Sound! Euphonium is about a high school band with a very wide range of instruments supported, but especially the chronically ignored bass section. It's rare that a Euphonium, Tuba, and String Bass player take center stage, but there it is. As a sax player ...

Loved it, watched all 13 episodes in two days!!
While I'm much more of Fan of 80's & 90's Anime, Mecha and Cyberpunk to be specific. I absolutely loved this series and truly hope there are more Episodes/seasons to come. The Characters, story, plot and detail are superb! I highly recommend this one!

  • Greeting from the Brass Cult
Oh man, as a bass trombone player, I'd never have thought I'd see an anime centred around the lower brass section. And it was amazing! The art was so beautiful and there was so much attention to detail - they even animated the players taking breaths, which is something a lot of people wouldn't bother with. A lot of things were probably funnier with a background in band, but I think this show would ...
