  • Enchanting Concert Band Anime
I really enjoyed the slice of life feeling this anime created. It was fun to watch this concert band grow and develop. The show does have quite a few elements of girl drama, which may be enough of a turn off to not continue watching. I found the many of the characters to be likable and to have enough development to stand alone. The main character was well developed and enjoyable to watch them ...

    Fantastic Slice of Life
    This show has:
-Beautiful looking animation with great camera simulation effects (DoF, Bokeh, etc)
    -Realistic characters that feel human
    -Dialogue that feels natural
-A seven minute sequence of the band playing at a concert, all fully animated'
-Accurate portrayal/animation of the characters playing instruments (no cop-out faked animations here)
    -Yuri undertones

    9.5/10

    Band Geeks Rejoice!!
As a former band geek I was LIVING for this series. In season 2 there was a part where the band was playing a song I played in band and I was like OMG I recognize that flute part <3

The animation is pretty stunning, and the instruments are incredibly true to life.

    Hits all the right notes
This show has everything I value in the medium: gorgeous animation, gay girls, and sane characters.

High budget slice of life focusing on relationships with your peers and band drama? Why wouldn't you watch this bomb-ass show!

I want to play the oboe again
I played in concert bands (and pep band and marching band) from middle school up through college. This anime is what I've always hoped to see when I've watched anime that attempts to portray a school band. The infighting, the rumor mill, the accurate portrayal of both sound and instruments. The fun that's had and the friendships that are built on the trials that everyone goes through... "Last year ...

  • Yep, I Really Hated Seeing It End!
I am NOT going to lie, I almost cried at the end. This isn't because it was sad or anything. I think it was just so perfectly wrapped up. At the end of both seasons (series), everything wrapped so nicely in a pretty little bow.
First of all, I have been in band for many years, so this really related to me on a super personal level. I feel like My regrets/wishing that I could have been in a band ...

  • I love the flow and the characters design!
I've had the occasion to know this anime thanks to a YouTuber that, on one of his videos, has mentioned it, talking about how the animations were really well made for him. After some time, I decided to watch it and I don't regret it! I'm in complete love with the characters design! They remind me of "K-ON!", which is my favorite anime. I don't really know how real instruments are designed in real ...

    WHAT AN AMAZING SERIES!
In my humble opinion this is one of KyoAni's best work. Animation, OST, Art, Characters and the story were all great! What sets this series apart for me is how 'real' and relate-able it feels. The characters feel like real people and the 'drama' moments that they face in the show are very believable. I know, I've experienced some of it before. The dialogues between the characters felt very ...

  • An Exemplary Title in the Music Genre
Characters that are profoundly realistic and relatable. The interactions between characters and the struggles they go through feel so genuine. No doubt a rollercoaster of emotions. Pacing is also wonderfully done. Nothing feels unnecessarily dragged out and each episode has plenty of progression.

Absolutely stunning visuals and incredible production quality. Kyoto Animation has done it once ...
