  • Relateable F/F romance, without much payoff
Overall, I loved this! It was sweet and nice, and (as a lesbian) I could relate to the characters. I enjoyed the story, but I think I was hoping for a little more payoff by the end. I believed in the endgame couple, but the story felt too focused on other things. I still really enjoyed it for what it was! I was just sad we didn't get more build and payoff.

  • A charming and unusually nuanced shoujo-ai that’s one of the best of the genre.
There’s no shortage of anime with apparently gay characters and pairings, or "yuri/yaoi bait" as it’s sometimes called. In many—perhaps most—cases, these characters exist as comic relief (‘Yuru Yuri’), fanservice (‘Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid’), or their romance is “implied” (‘Hibike! Euphonium’), meaning they’ll occasionally act super gay, but actually aren't.

Aoi Hana does something that’s quite ...

  • A wonderfully slow paced and wholesome anime.
Sweet Blue Flowers is a wonderfully wholesome anime that details the lives of Fumi and Achan who are brought back together by a twist of fate and details the rekindling of their friendship and ultimately Fumi's understanding of her love for Achan.

While the anime tries to blend both Achan and Fumi in different aspects, the anime primarily focuses on Fumi-Chan as she rediscovers her friendship ...

  • A lovely, bittersweet slice of life with terribly misleading opening credits.
The opening will make you believe that this show revolves around a slow-burning but passionate build of explicitly romantic and sexual feelings between the two female leads. Maybe things would have gone there in a hypothetical second season, but if you haven't seen it yet: reset your expectations for just a nice, supportive friendship between the two of them. One girl has no conscious feelings for ...

  • Sweet Anime - no unnecessary fan service
I liked this Anime - It was all about feelings, emotions, personalities - No unnecessary fan service. The characters were well developed, but I felt overall they were all so nice I felt they were a little unrealistic...still I really enjoyed watching it.. I may buy the Manga to see how the story evolves further

  • i love this one v much
It was a good and sweet story line. It was fairly simple and straight-forward as far as complexity goes, but the character development and slow plot really drew me in. if i were the main character i would have been absolutely drooling over the andro character.

  • A Surprising Find, But One of My New Favorites
I'm fairly new to watching anime regularly. However, since I first watched "Your Lie in April" on another site this past Christmas, I've found myself watching anime more often, and I've been drawn to the slice of life genre in anime. While looking through the Crunchyroll suggestions, I found this show. At first, I was unsure if I would enjoy this anime. However, after watching the first episode, I ...

  • Lovely Anime, One Not to Forget
This series shows how much deeper love can be, without showing nudity/sex. It's truly a pure anime. I do wish however it was a little closer to the manga, because i recall the main characters in a more "sustained" relationship, rather than an open ending.

  • Totally thought it was going to go another way
Handled the subject matter both seriously and lightly. Was very impressed by that combo being pulled off. Was expecting a certain outcome from the beginning due to some foreshadowing, but it did not happen exactly that way. Though I did really like how they ended it, even if it was a little open. It was a romance, but also almost a slice of life.

  • Yes!!! Awesome!! Leaves you wanting more...
I am so happy that I stumbled upon this anime. I was looking for a good queer anime and found just that. The innocence of the main characters was so refreshing and definitely reminded me of going through those feelings myself. I really appreciated that the anime did not make stupid jokes about lesbians. This was warmhearted and a well-intentioned anime with many relatable situations.

    I ...
