Great 1st episode not so great series
This series is very catchy, but it is bad anime. I had high hopes for it the 1st season now I just want to see where it ends but this is becoming harder and harder to do since the episodes lack intelligence and lack an understanding of how a game works. This is important since the whole anime is in a game. Kirito is a super hacker, developer, inventor all of a sudden besides being crazy OP. This ...

    Recycled villains & nonsense
This show had potential in it's initial season. I think that's what sucked most of us in. However, the story was rushed, and without too many spoilers, it ended the grand adventure. Season two we get gun skills? Really? They tried to make sniping exciting, failed, but tried nonetheless.
In Acisization we get villain one, recycled from gunglave online arc, and villain two recycled from Freezing ...

Love it. One of my Favorites.
I love the SAO series. Everything to the art and to the story. I’ve read the light novels and really enjoyed it. SAO was one of my first animes so of course I would rate this 5 stars. And if I’m gonna be honest, Alicization is the best season. I feel like season 1 wasn’t all that good though.

    Disappointment Online
Oh dear, I had such high hopes for this series. I stuck in as a fan despite the poor decision of molesting Asuna in the faerie arc. Now SAO has upped its mysogyny and rape fantasy culture in a once promising new season. Goodbye SAO I won't forgive you this time.

Season 1 & 2 excellent, 3 Alicization not so good.
Up to episode 10 of Alicization, this third season is not as good as the original 2. The rules of the new world are somewhat cheesy with the "imagination is power" plot. And the antagonists are flat and typical, without much difficulty for the MC's to overcome. There was 1 single goal to achieve since episode 2, but the episodes in between through to episode 10 are mostly filler with little ...

Alicization Review - Lots of Good Themes Overlap Here
This is great. I say this as someone who did not think highly of the foray this series took into MMO FPSs.

I also like how they grapple with larger ideas, and even in the virtual world emphasize the development of critical thinking, and the importance of the spirit of the law versus the letter of the law (Taboo Index) rather than following a code of beliefs.

Not to mention the META topic ...

    Love the new season.
I find that the new season is very interesting since the art style looks a bit different but still has the same feel to it. Idk, it's probably just me, it just seems different in a way and yet so familiar at the same time. Odd, but I can't wait for more episodes to come out!

    Top of the notch. 5/5
SAO's long run has been a blast with Kirito and his crew. Even though the manga shows more detail throughout the story. Season 1 & 2 of SAO were good for a viewer to join. However, ever since Alicization was revealed to get a 4 Season anime adaptation. I was jumping for joy knowing this is the best arc of the series. Since it gives a more better story while the characters are given more life ...

Follows the light novel extremely well!
I've already read the novel and I must say the anime is doing a fantastic job this time around with SAO. The previous season was really iffy but this just makes it that much better. The characters the scenes and most of all the LIFE. This story is brimming with so much life it truly makes it enter a realm of its own.

    For the SAO diehards
If you liked the original SAO, you'll like this.

If you're expecting any improvement from the original however, don't be too hopeful. Suffers from the same writing issues of rapidly skipping past details we want to see like training, growth, and improvement, to give time for cheap dialogue and Kirito being op.

Animation is nonetheless beautiful, and the fight scenes are clean as ...
