  • Greatest Show in Anime History
The show has a great storyline and more awesomeness like in S1 with the "u die here, u die in reality" mechanic. and the not-so spinoff SAOA:GGO is good. If you dont watch, WATCH!! Make sure to add to watchlist and more shows and the GGO arc is great.

Season 3 has had an OK start
    I enjoyed season 1.

I thought Season 2 was even better.

Season 3 is going to be good from what I hear and it's had an okay start. I feel as if the hype for the series has died down since it first started though.

So far the pacing of season 3 has been slower than the series, but it's not my place to judge seeing as it's only 2 episodes in.

    Wonderful Story And Detailed Animation!
The animations are really good, you understand why it took them a long time to make season 3! I tough it was gonna be the same old boring story of being trapped in a virtual game, but they added so many cool elements to the story and new stuffs that I have the same hype then when I watched the first season! Its simply amazing! Brings back so many memories!

it was alright up until ep 15 then it all came tumbling
boy sao is bad hot garbage after garbage its always been hard for me to see what people like in this thing barely anything is even decent ALO was a soft reboot along side GGO I sat through hours waiting for nothing to happen that was good and the amount stupid cliches and dull dialogue makes it worse and side note reki kawahara does not know how to write about video games why sell only 10 thousand ...

Amazing show! A good escape and medicine.
SAO in all arcs is a wonderful show that people can get lost in, relate with character personalities and pasts, and use as a way to feel better. When feeling down and depressed, put on this show and it will definitely take your mind off things. I promise.

Good series until ALO(introduction to ALO)
I've got to say people think SAO is a terrible anime but I think It's pretty good. The game gives you tons of feels except for the second arc after the death game. If you finish the anime series you'll feel like wanting and then the new arc which we fans have been waiting for the most; Alicization. SAO is an amazing anime I mean you don't need to say it's the worst, you just probably didn't like ...

This should not be above 4 stars.
Did you know Kirito is often used as the benchmark for an uninspired and uninteresting protagonist? Did you know one of only two good characters in the show was not only nearly raped on screen, but was also implied to have been drugged and molested by slug monsters? Did you know Keiichi Sigsawa made a spin-off of this series seemingly just so he could show Reki Kawahara how to properly write a ...

A mixed bag that never lives up to its promise
Sword Art Line is a series that is extremely popular, and the reason for this is obvious. It takes the most appealing aspects of video games, and then gives you a main character who is overpowered and generic which allows for easy identification from its viewer. The concept of "saving the girl" as a social outcast is popular throughout fiction for a reason, and marrying it to a video game world ...

Sword Art Online - 5 Stars
This is the show that initially got me into anime years ago; and still is one of my all-time favorites. It has some questionable episodes/arcs but overall is wildly entertaining with fantastic animation and world building. SAO has everything a VR anime should, and is a cult classic for a reason.

    Amazing anime honestly
I'm so incredibly happy that this anime is back in its full beautiful entirety. The rest of this typing is honestly just here so that I can leave a longer review and also give the anime a 5-star review, so I'm just going to continue to take up the remaining required characters.
