An ok show, but nothing special
It is not necessarily a bad show, but there is nothing that makes this show stand out. This show is for me the definition of a generic isekai. There is no sense of tension and things just happen for no reason. Still, some parts are entertaining and some aspects of the show are good.

    This is fairly decent
The isekai genre seems to be big right now and I'm watching several of them. This one seems about average. It's hard to put a couple of minor complaints I have into words, but I will say this. As the episodes go on they more and more seem to be a case of things happening. In other words, the situations Well and friends find themselves in need better set-ups and pay-offs. I'm a little ...

    Do you enjoy Isekai?
    Its an Isekai!
    There, whole review.

Do I like Isekai? yep. Do I like shitty Isekai? you bet.
at the very least this is above the recent levels of Isekai trash like Ragnarok from the past few seasons. no wheres near some of the good ones weve gotten. but it will do. im not blown a way, im not disappointment either. so ima keep enjoying this one.

    Don't understand the bad ratings
is it a generic fantasy anime? sure, but it's funny, amusing, and I don't find myself bored watching it. Plus they do a good job of staying to a story line and not going off on tangents. The characters are all pretty well developed and follow many tropes, but that's what makes them enjoyable too.

This is a show? Are you kidding me?
My main issues with this anime were its story and graphics, which I go into more depth below.

    Story: 3/10

I gave this a 3 out of 10 because the story had a lot of potential just does not work for me. Earthling sent to a new universe but runs on the gag "Are you kidding me?", basically implies the story will be about misfortune. It's not. I am unsure if the gag is supposed to be sarcastic or ...

The manga was a lot better
Compared to the manga, this anime is a very chopped up version that change a lot of things and left out a lot of the good content that actually made the story interesting and different from other isekais. But overall the studio cut out some of the important content, dragged on parts that were unnecessary and made the anime a train wreck. Just read it.

the most generic isekai of them all
There is really nothing good to say about this show. Bland characters, bland setting, bad pacing, pointless plot. The fact that the character is from another world has no impact on the story or on the character's actions, it is so rarely mentioned that you could easily forget that it is an isekai at all. This show is the definition of poorly written isekai trash. Dont waste your time watching it.

This is just something mindless to put on.
I'm 6 episodes in. You can see from episode 1 that this was going to be mindless. Protagonist comes from a salaryman position and yet acts like a kid from the get go, and continues to act like a child with what seems like a child's mind too. I'd be less angry about this if it wasn't set to be an Isekai. Apart from that, the protagonist goes through no real hurdles. Born OP, trains for 2 weeks and ...

Not really a story worth watching
This show is sometimes very interesting, but usually in a short time spam. The political games that come in to play are interesting and in my opinion should be explored more deeply as it is the most interesting feature. This however has no right of being called an Isekai, as it has almost nothing to do with that and probably works WAY better without that premise. The other main glaring issue is ...

I Really Want to Like This
The 8th Son sells you on-premise, but fails to really deliver something fresh.

The characters are bland. The main character acts like a child, when he was an adult before falling into this Isakai world. Does not remember how to act like an adult? (Or at least, in a mature way?)

The 2nd episode brings in a great character and great story, but it just felt like the best it had to offer. It ...
