This is not good, it really isn't good
I enjoyed the first season. The writing wasn't great, but the characters were fun and the male lead was capable and seemingly cared about the others. The second season? Oh what crap it is. A child that is tormented, sexually and physically like Yuji Kazami does not grow up to be a hero. They grow up to become John Wayne Gacy. He was molested by his sister, molested by the criminal who stole him, ...

  • unique and very good story
Its not a typical harem anime and the protagonist is not your typical whimpy male lead. You get to know each character and their struggles in depth. The stories of these tragic characters are relate-able and very touching. I am really enjoying this show.

  • Second Season is Better
The second season concentrated on Kazama Yuuji and I thought the writting is well done for the most part although its on the dark side , the other new characters are well written too although the Thanatos was abit off, some didnt make sense to me .some ideas was pretty much forced .
Season 1 was all about the girls but this one shows how he become to be
and his character development here is ...

    Great Anime and awesome Story.
Grisaia has one of the best Story developments i've ever seen,
the tension also increases with every episode, in the beginning its not too diffrent from other anime's but from the 3rd episode the tension is rising strong. My first thaugt was ''its ok'' but now that i had finished it, i think its one of the best.

  • the most broken are the most powerful
each person in this hows there own demons to get through and with out much thought to it the all end up being part of a bigger pic. I love how its a harem but of the most part the guy earns his due. people dont just love him because, they love him because of what he does for each of them.

  • Starts slow and ends on a high!
Full disclosure: I haven't played the VNs.

Grisaia follows the tumultuous life of Yuuji Kazami and the 5 main heroines. All of them meet at a special private high school. A series of events begin to reveal that all the girls have had traumatic experiences and with the help of Yuuji they're able to get past their prior experiences which come to hunt them on school premises. The girls are lovely ...

  • Great Anime Adaption of a Visual Novel (Video Game)!
This series, The Fruit of Grisaia (13 episodes), The Labyrinth of Grisaia (1 episode, 40 mins), and The Eden of Grisaia (10 episodes) made the best series I have seen so far this year. I haven't had that great of an experience with watching series developed from video games, or visual novels, but the plot to this series sounded fun so I decided to give it a try and I am glad that I did!

    Plot - ...

  • An excellent adult series.
If you've read the visual novel you're opinion may be very different than mine. However on it's own this is a very creative series that starts off very dull but will have you laughing crying and possibly gasping in terror or disgust throughout. It's a very unconventional series that is a good reminder that some anime is very much not for children. Beyond this I don't want to say much more, it ...

  • Astonishingly better than I though!
The only words that come to mind when I think of this show is broken people, in a broken world. As the description says, each character is in the school for their own reason, and that includes the MC Yuuji. Their backstories may be a bit cheesy, but some (3) hit me hard: Michiru (Chiruchiru) Matsushima (Blonde girl), Amane Suou (Pink haired girl), and Yuuji Kazami (MC). All their backstories are ...
