I'm not entirely sure what just happened.
Well. That happened. This is apparently some sort of continuation or spiritual successor or something to a previous anime that I didn't see. Since I didn't see the previous show, I shall judge this on it's own merits.

It was a weird 3 minutes, but a pointless 3 minutes. I'm not going to say that was the WORST thing I ever saw, but I know I didn't follow it. I assume this is due to it's very ...

    Doubt this will work out
This is another anime with a 3min episode length. That worked for something like "I can't understand what my husband is saying." because its not really trying to tell a cohesive story but this seems like it might be. So basically, they set up the world story and that they're salvagers of some sort and they're trying to salvage a ship in the first episode, and they hint at some larger story. When ...

    Boo, Nope, Don'T Do It
Less kind than other reviews. This was shit. This show made zero sense, there is nothing to follow, there aren't even scenes it's just a random jumble of some kind with a banjo something about junk and a princess appears. Oh and discount BMO.

Don't waste even three minutes on this. It is totally not worth your time. It's a piece of 3 minute trash.

    fun, but perhaps too short
Tylor is a happy-go-lucky, banjo-wielding scrap collector, and he's pretty keen on rescuing maidens, when the opportunity arises! But his robotic sidekick is somewhat less enthusiastic...

Based only on the first episode, it looks like it will be a fun little weekly three-minute treat for anyone who can enjoy silly things.

I only took a star off because it was painfully short, and the world ...

    Nobody asked for this
This is a slap in the face to anyone who enjoyed Irresponsible Captain Tylor. If I could rate it negatively for being associated with an old favorite I would, but on it's own it deserves the lowest rating I can give. The robot is annoying and in the first 2 episodes has already made the same joke about a non-existent stomach ache from worrying. Tylor is a simple bumpkin who doesn't do anything ...

When you think you are getting chocolate and you get poop instead.
Irresponsible Captain Tylor was one of my favorite animes of all times. It holds a special place in my heart. My spouse and I were very excited to see this, thinking it would be a continuation of the novels with his daughter. What I saw instead was just pure trash. This is by far the most disappointing thing we have seen in a while. Thanks for tarnishing a great anime.

    What.. is... this... garbage?!
Lets take one of the greatest shows ever and destroy it. Do yourself a favor and go back and re-watch the original series. Avoid this at all costs. It takes everything good, everything that made the original great and tosses it in to the trash. 1 star, and that is being generous.

    This show is irredeemable garbage
I watched the original, it was epic, stupid and funny. This show on the other hand is just trying to ride on its coat tails. The story is so loosely based that it may as well be an anime that is unrelated and just uses the names of some items from the original. It has short three minutes episodes that don't really advance the plot. It just kind of pulls out random scenes and tries to call it story ...

    The original series was better
The Irresponsible Captain Tylor was an absolute masterpiece that hit hard and left quickly. I appreciate the fact that they're bringing it back to popularity,as it's among my all time favorite anime. But...

Well, let's go over the things I like first.

I appreciate the little shoutouts to the previous series. Like Tylor's banjo having a smiley face, Yamamoto still being a companion, and ...

It ranks in Black Holes instead of Stars
Loved the original Captain Tylor and was so looking forward to its revival. This is just a hot mess using the Tylor name to cash in.

It was so bad, my computer crashed rather than continue playing it. (First time I've ever been glad to have a Blue Screen O' Death!)

Seriously, it's that bad. And it's only three minutes long.

If only I could give it negative Stars... which would be Black ...
