  • My all time favorite anime
This is my all time favorite anime, despite being incomplete because it ran out of funding. It an older, classic anime. The details of the fantasy world are really well done and surprisingly complex. If you enjoy some of the more historical type dramas you may like aspects of this. (Just remember it is fantasy.) As a disclaimer, there are some whiny characters (that are REALLY annoying) but just ...

  • The Twelve Kingdoms of Me Wanting More
I've only been watching anime for the past couple of years. I never knew anything of this caliber was out there. I'm ignorant. "Isekai" anime of the current generation cannot even compare to this in most ways.

Each of us has a few anime we wish would have more seasons. This one would be mine. If you appreciate the Isekai genre, I'm sure this anime will be one of yours.

  • HIDDEN TREASURE!!!!!
IM GLAD I CAME ACROSS THIS ANIME. Im in love with the character development that occurred with Youko definitely worth sticking through to see her become a badass. She was annoying at first but that made her change a lot more satisfying to see. This anime is definitely one of my favs now.

    An absolutely fantastic find!
This older anime I went in to being a bit weary of and I wasn’t sure that I would like it or not but, BOY did my opinion ever change quickly! I was absolutely hooked! This is anime is VERY interesting and there’s always something going on constantly! There’s NEVER A dull moment in this anime that I could find! It’s an all around really great story with adventure, action, fantasy and ...

Where did this old gem come from!? Watch it!
felt like i had seen all the old anime and then this gem pops up.. it really takes you on a ride. the myths and things happening can be weird and hard to follow at first but by mid show you are completely fluent in the history of this world and how it works. Its scope kind of reminds me of Kingdom, if you haven't watched Kingdom, then manga, watch it. While this has more myth, monsters and fantasy ...

Good fantasy worldbuilding and mythology, haphazard story
Episodes 6-13 are amazing story wise. The characters are really annoying in episodes 1-5, but provide context for episode 6. Some storylines don't resolve ever. If you like interesting monster designs, landscapes, wordbuilding and mythology, this is for you. If you want characters you're fully invested in and somewhat cohesive plots, each arc is hit or miss.

  • show is great but video quality is poor
Immersive world with character growth, fantasy mixed with musings on the historical struggle of humankind to survive. Has some of my favorite music.

I love this show so much I bought the episodes on Amazon streaming, but the quality is so poor it looks like it was a VHS transfer. The worst part is you can find better quality from illegal streaming sites. What the heck!?

    If you watch the ...

    One of the most memorable
I watched this show a while back and I've always remembered it. I'm so happy it's on Crunchyroll now. The only bad thing is that it ends on episode 45, and you feel that there is so much story left to tell. My absolute favourite part of this show are its characters - they grow and develop so much as people that they feel real to you; the twists are actually twisty, and everything feels so ...

    Wish there was more...
This is the only anime I've managed to convince my dad to watch since he mostly hates anime, I'm so glad to see it here on Crunchyroll. Sad that it never got finished, but so grateful for what we do have. The art is beautiful, the political drama and character building is slow but very rewarding and the world building is complex but coherent.
