    Twin stars actually get 3.
There is nothing particularly essential about this show that makes it a must watch. However, it's not entirely unlikable either. The combat is mostly a series of calling out the name of a move (which is then bracketed across the screen in case you missed it) followed by a flying punch, flying kick, or energy blast. The plot and battle progression is very formulaic. So if you are looking for ...

Two characters with many flaws that are forced to be together.
I started watching Twin Star Exorxists on the first day it was aired. There will be some spoilers in this review. The concept of this animé an action shonen with Rokuro Enmado who although a very strong exorcism but refuses to be one and Benio Adashin from Kyoto who is considered to be one of two of the strongest exercisers for her age. They do most of their battles initially in a parallel would ...

    Too Run over the Mill.
Same elements that have seen in previous shonen style anime. MC is not as likable as Subaru from Re: Zero or Natsuo from Dome x Kano. Not as likable as them at all. Also, the Kegare, the main antagonists, are flat and have zero personality. They try to kill humans, eat other kegare to become stronger... that's literaly it

    Sadly Disappointing
To be honest with you, at the start of this anime i was hooked. I watched about 12 episodes in the first day and i couldn't wait to watch more of it. But as the anime went on and on being dragged out longer than it ever needed to be and no real story progression it became a struggle to keep watching the rest. It was a shame what happened with this anime as if it just finished a few episodes ...

As generic and standard as they come
This show really isn't bad, but it's not particularly good either. Every single character falls into some kind of archetype, without a single original plot point or concept. I eventually stopped reading the manga and the anime doesn't look any better

Absolutely ridiculous premise with beautiful fights scenes
I really love the fight scenes. I think the characters are cry babies, and it's extremely annoying to listen to them talk.

    "BENNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

    Quit being babies.

Some may find this endearing, but it's not my cup of tea.

But darn, those beautiful fight scenes interrupted by the talking.

  • At eps 22 and really liking it!
All I really need to say is.. watch this show! And keep on watching it as it gets better and better with each episode.

In the beginning it might seem a slow development and the characters come across as a bit simple. But the further you get, the more you get to know them and understand why they behave the way they do. You'll appreciate the effort that has been put into creating them and will ...

  • This at least deserves 4 stars.
To be quite honest, I was kind of skeptical starting this anime after all the series I had worked through and the hundreds more I have in queue. But man, am I glad I did. It might be similar to other animes, but what anime is not full of clichés made by the ones before it? One of the things that really turned me onto this to begin with was the first battle sequence. It is really nostalgic how they ...

  • It's worth watching!
I'll keep it short and simple:
    - The anime has beautifully drawn characters and environments (despite half of it taking place in purgatory)
    - The fight scenes have their moments, but sometimes it's quite average animation. It consist of very well directed fights, and some that are just still images with a shaky effect on top.
    - It's compromised of a lovable cast, as well as ...

Started off really badly, but it's now awesome
I really hated the first few episodes of this anime, I think I had a week off work, so I decided to drown my boredom. The bad spirits were crap, the fighting moves were repetitive, but stick with it, it gets WAY better.

I've been watching it weekly since about episode 10, and I can tell you the story has developed so much! The characters are now badass, and there's some depth behind them too.
