  • Its mostly about murders!!
First time when I started watching I was imagining that this anime is going to get boring since it is started how someone was survived during the war while anyone else was dead. But, after the introduction, the settings and story change... I personally do not like how Childish some of the characters are and how it is difficult to catch up on the stories!! If you decided to watch this, make sure ...

  • Not your usual anime
A dystopian future they don't fully explain. A government that covers up just about every truth that's uncovered. But that's okay because we're focused on solving crimes. (I'm not being sarcastic; I like this.) Throw in some supernatural and some AI, and you've got a great detective team.

  • Stylish Detective Anime with Deep Sentiment
I liked Un-go quite a bit. "Stylish" is definitely the first word to come to mind after watching the whole thing - the animation is unique, and the character designs are nice and distinctive, without having to go overboard on color or clothes. Many of the comments on each episode regard how nice the opening and ending themes are - and I agree with these, as I particularly love the jazzy ...

  • There Are Mysteries Everywhere
I've been so lucky - stumbling on all these fantastic mystery series. I now look back and wonder how I could have gone without the mystery genre for so much time.

Characters are great in this show as they are very twisted and deep - it takes the series to even get some of the straight. The music is on par, and the animation is decent. The mysteries are well set up and while it is more of a ...

  • As far as the anime goes
Un-Go (An-Go) is a very interesting murder mystery anime. The characters are quiet developed (although I found the protag a little to deadpan most of the time), the artwrok is beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing. Furthermore, these mysteries are quiet hard to follow and there are so many faints that just when you think you know what happens its like nope wrong. The other caviot are these ...

  • Definitely worth a watch
I found this on a list of good mystery anime, and it certainly lived up to that promise. The art style is lovely, the stories well-written and intriguing, and it all comes together to make a great series. This last sentence is to take me to the required character count.

  • Better than I expected
I walked into this with the expectation of a fairly generic detective show, and I am pleased to say that my expectations were greatly surpassed. I really enjoy stories that leave some ambiguity, and the directorial style definitely adds to this. I found it engrossing and can't recommend it enough.

  • Not bad, but lacking
To me, this series often felt like it was lacking something. Part of that may be that the episodes are disjointed stories with a very little overarching plot to connect them (at least until the last story line). While the mysteries to me were pretty hit and miss, the characters are all strong enough to carry the stories.

The most interesting part of the series is the characters and how they ...

  • Pleasant and Undemanding
I have read that most anime are used as introductions to manga series. Certainly that is true of Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club. It would seem, though I have not seen the title among my manga sources, that this may be true here. The last episode really appeared to be a lead-in to something.

Un-Go follows The Last Great Detective (usually called The Defeated Detective in the ...

  • A hidden MASTERPIECE
Honestly I just found this anime today and I watched the whole thing. The first episode caught my eye because of the amazing animation and perfect voice acting. Its one of the only animes I have found that kind of made me smile within the first 5mins because I could tell it was a masterpiece that had been unnoticed by so many. You wouldn't think an anime with only 11 episodes could satisfy the ...
