    Cliche ruined the fun
Original Review: Yes, this show can at times be incredibly generic, especially with the MC being so overpowered. However, I found it more fun than annoying, especially (minor spoilers) when his classmates and close friends start to get more on par with the MC. The reasoning behind why he's so overpowered and knows these things is really interesting, especially because it can sometimes be ...

    Fan Service, Feels Good Anime
If you're someone that likes a complex plot, with unpredictable pacing, detailed character development, then this is NOT for you.

But, if you're like me and you like to see an OP main character that is not dumb and actually has a personality that is easy to relate to. Then, you're in luck!

Every episode brings a smile to my face and it's so pleasant to watch. It's interesting how something ...

Give This Anime a Season 2!
I loved every aspect of this anime, I'd love to see it continue for even longer than a season 2 but I'd love a season 2 to tie all the loose ends that the first season ended on. The contrast between the protagonist and the antagonist make this anime so iconic and the main character's upbringing, story, and friends he's made make this anime so phenomenal in my opinion.

Definitely not the best, but very far from the worst.
I don't jump on hype trains, or bandwagons of people who prematurely judge shows based on their similarity to other shows. This show can indeed be generic, but I have enjoyed it thoroughly. It's funny, it's well animated, and the voice acting is on point. I'm not sure what the other reviewers were watching or if they have to jump on bad review hype trains, but this is far from a one star anime, ...

I love the manga but the anime is not on point unfortunately
The Art looks really low budget for Kadokawa. The manga looks waaaaayy more attractive and detailed. I love the manga but the anime is skipping through so much so quickly. They really like cutting through all the good stuff in the anime.... I'll watch it because i really like the manga but still disappointed in this pacing. The first 2 eps already skipped through so much detail that made the ...

Overwhelmingly Generic - and therefore surprisingly good
Listen, alright? The thing about this anime is: it's an isekai with an OP protagonist. Need I say more? It's not unique, and to be honest, it doesn't need to be. This is the perfect example of what today many people would call "isekai trash." HOWEVER: I and many other individuals happen to like so-called "isekai trash." so what if it's an over-used concept? so what if the plot is predictable and ...

    Basic magic fantasy series
This is another in a long list of "other world" anime. So let's break down the first set of episodes with no spoilers:
Firstly, we find out at the very beginning (it's not a spoiler) that the protagonist is reincarnated from Japan. Which seems to be completely irrelevant to the story.
Secondly, the writing and character introductions are done in a sophomoric manner. The character is the ...

    4 episodes of horrible pacing.
Wise Man's Grandchild is an overpowered Isekai on fast forward. It is honestly the only way I can think of describing the show. At first, I thought maybe they had to trim down the anime for the first episode to fit the setting in, and honestly I was fine with it if that was the case. Boy was I hopeful.

    Minor Spoiler
Within the 1st episode you are shown how the Japanese ...

    Better than it first appears
Not going to lie, when I first watched this show, it was more as a filler anime. The show was a bit bland/generic as most would put it. But somehow somewhere along the line, the writers started improving and adding more depth to the story. By the end of it (as of 2019 anyways), it had turned into one of the best shows I was watching at the time.

If you don't mind putting up with half a season ...

A great Isekai to watch, I NEED SEASON 2!
After I finished the 12 episodes of season 1, I wanted a season 2 right away! In my opinion, the Isekai is well made and the characters have good design and background.
(Spoiler): Tbh, Wise Man's Grandchild was the only anime I have watched where 2 lead characters actually get in a relationship early on which is a good thing, usually, with the types of anime I watch, 2 lead characters either end ...
