    Good premise, poor execution
The basic idea behind the show, that we are going to be following defense lawyers for wizards, certainly has quite a bit of potential. Unfortunately, the pacing and characterizations seem rather off to me, and while I enjoy the attempt to do something new I found that the series ultimately just bored me. Clearly some people enjoy it and it isn't so offensive to rate 1 or 2 stars in my mind, but ...

as of 8 episodes its still got a chance
the series is interesting in that is got a unique and vivid world, however the main character is an obnoxious mary sue , that makes me want to kill myself every time she is on screen, if the series shifted focus from her, to whatever other character it would be a 4.5 star series

    Not bad, but YMMV...
NOTE: I had planned on following this series, but I ended up dropping it after the 3rd episode, so this review is solely based on the first three.

As many people have said already, it's basically like Law & Order meets Phoenix Wright by the way of a Harry Potter party. That was certainly my impression from what I've seen--you've got Cecil Sudo, a perky, almost too-cheerful teenage wizard ...

    ...then Episode 11 happened....
First review, I wouldn't bother but hopefully I save someone the pain of finding this out directly.
At first I felt the animation was well done and generally liked it visually (I'll elaborate on the 'at first' part in a moment, however). Basically the background to the story is that Witches/Wizards are coupled with the present day time and in this world their use of Magic is strictly ...

it was ok, but fell apart by the end
wizard barristers is a pretty unique concept for an anime, and also mixes a shit ton of genres(Magic, Action, Bishojo, Mystery, Slice of Life, Comedy, and even Mecha). the atmosphere is amazing and the character designs are pretty interesting with the main character Cecil Sudo reminding me alot of Usagi from Sailor Moon(i demand fanart of Cecil as Sailor Moon now), and the animal characters ...

    The series was disappointing.
The premise was interesting at first, but the court drama in this series makes the Pheonix Wright games look like Law & Order. At every turn, the court proceedings were contrived by the writers to stack things against the protagonists for the only reason to add drama. And watching episode 11 made me repeatedly check if my streaming bandwidth was bad.

  • Pretty Good Interesting series
Obviously animated by the same people who did Kite I liked the premise of magical lawyers defending magic users our main character is a 17y/o girl who has a good motive for becoming a barrister as quickly as she can (I'm not going to give a lot away) but as the series move's along we get a sub-plot that turns out to have something to do with her original motive to become a lawyer this builds up to ...

  • Not Quite Up To Its Potential.
This series is somewhat of an enigma. The concept of Wizards defending Wizards in a Magic Court was a very unique idea and plot. Sudo Cecil is your lead character, who happens to be a "Wizard Barrister" working for Butterfly Law Office. She is looking for answers about her past and discovers not only the truth, but is thrown into many difficult, dangerous situations. The characters development in ...

    Could have been better
This show had a LOT of potential... but it just didn't live up to it. A lot of great ideas but for me everything seemed a little rushed. I feel like this show would have benefited more from 24 episodes instead of 12. The budget being blown -- it shows they bit off more than they could chew.

The series starts at around an 8 out of 10 and ends to a 4/5 out of 10. The first episode was amazing ...
