  • Comedic and Satisfying
Mixing comedic elements with some expected harem anime tropes, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches brings an interesting flare to the dramatic in this magical high-school setting. While occasionally dogged by some pacing issues in a few episodes, Yamada-kun can still hold your interest long enough to find all 7 witches and discover the mysteries hidden at this unusual academy.

  • A supernatural slice of life
I loved this anime as I have finished the manga a few months back. I love the concepts and the story introduced in the anime. The ending was good enough to make the series end on a good note, but I wish there was another season to hit it off to finish the manga.

  • Watch this NOW!!!!!!
I'll admit honestly that at first I wasn't sure of this anime. The first few episodes were written poorly... but I am completely overjoyed I kept watching. I'm crying as I write from how truely well developed this anime is, with a masterfully tailored story and characters you can't help but come to love. Please, for the love of God, WATCH THIS ANIME!!!

  • 4 Stars...though I gave up on it
(Kind of spoilery, so feel free to skip)

This is an odd one for me because I gave up on the anime but I still mostly liked it and think it should be rated fairly highly. Weirdly, I had started with the manga and was quite far into it when the anime came out (I think I was caught up to all translated issues? It's been awhile though, so maybe less...I'm just catching up on reviewing ...

  • Silly premise. Entertaining execution
Seeing the premise of two people switching bodies in anime is something that I've rarely seen done outside of doujinshi that don't really last very long, so I didn't really expect too much from this anime, but I was pleasantly surprised. The characters were pretty distinct and played off of each other well and there weren't really any that I feel overstayed their welcome. Some of the "rules" of ...

  • Anime is amazing, manga is perfect.
Not much more to say then the title of the review, you absolutely need to watch the anime and read the manga, since the anime is incredible and the manga is even better and probably the best you will find. 10/fucking 10.

    Also Sarushima is best girl.

  • Yamada-Kun, good show!
In general I'm not much for rom-coms but this one had it all, supernatural elements, interesting mostly likable characters, mystery, interesting plot twists, and of course the romance thing,...thoroughly enjoyed this one, wish there were more like it.

  • Interesting way to tell the story
Pretty interesting story telling in this anime. Being as they don't even say the word witch in the first part of it! Seems like a few of the plot points are COMPLETELY disconnect when the first bring them up, but just hang in there. It all gets reconnected by the end.
