  • Simply Amazing Underrated Anime
    It's an amazing anime and extremely underrated...definitely watch! Yona is a weak character at first but I love to watch her progress and how she develops through the story. All the character are very distinct and have some depth to them. The four dragons have interesting backstories and Soo-wan is a heart-wrenching character that I can't wait to see more of. Just please hit me up with a second ...

  • The best Shojo Anime Ever!
    I love this anime so much! I highly recommend this anime to anyone. I got both of my parents to watch it and they loved it. My mom does not like anime, but she loves Yona of the Dawn.
    It starts off as a typical shojo with weak protagonist, but it is just amazing how much Yona grows. She realizes that she is weak and strives to be strong. She teaches herself archery and does not back down from a ...

  • Just support for a second season
    It's good imo, great pacing, characters and animation. Like the personal growth shown throughout as well as a multi-dimensional "antagonist" (kinda not really, its complicated but that makes it great). Just hate it when a story is left unfinished.

  • Absolutely Amazing Show
    This anime has it all figured out - the dramatics, the comedy, the sap. You really get to see character development in all of the characters you meet. I feel for all of the dragons as well as Haku and Yun because of their backgrounds. And Yona's heartbreaking storyline goes without saying. I loved seeing Yona and the dragons mature, finding a connection with each other that goes beyond just ...

  • A refreshing series that you can binge watch on the weekend <3
    I extremely enjoyed this series and do recommend watching it if you are wanting to binge watch something on your day off. It's easy to keep up with the story line, not confusing, and has a good balance of humor and serious. With this show, it really immerses you into the story and lets you get to know all the characters on a personal level. If you wants something that will tug at your heart ...

  • Well written, character driven and captivating
    Yona of the Dawn had me hooked from the instant i began it. The character depth is astonishing and it's refreshing to watch something so passionate. The story itself is well written, although the pacing should really have been slowed down towards the end. The characters are great, but of course there are the cliches:
    * how all the guys like her and follow her wherever
    * how her red ...

  • Beautiful Characters
    One of my favorites series on Crunchyroll to date. I like the pace the characters are developed and appreciate how closely it follows the manga. It's nice to see a Mary Sue develop into a strong heroine. Every character is developed beautifully through their individual stories and journies.

  • Short but Informative Review
    Yona of the Dawn or Akatsuki No Yona is a beautifully animated work of art that maintains historical culture accuracy, while keeping the plot intriguingly fictional and easy to enjoy. All of the characters learn and develop from their mistakes, as well as build stronger bonds with one another. The antagonist has a brilliant perspective, making it easy for the viewers to either love, ...
