  • Astral saves the show
Ok maybe it's just coz I have a huge crush on his shiny a** but tbh this was actually much better than I expected

It took me a bit to figure out how to do the new summoning stlye in an actual duel but wow this was a nice twist

It's worth a watch, I can't say it's one I'd rewatch multiple times in my life like the original, GX, 5'Ds, or even Arc V but it's still very enjoyable in my opinion

  • An Amazing series, and a great addition to the Yu-Gi-Oh! series.
To be frank, when this first aired i didn't like it, i thought that the main character was an idiot and that he didnt deserve to be the main character, I felt anyone would be better, But now that the series has ended and I spent some time to watch it again I can see why they chose Yuma to be the main character. ZEXAL, while inferior to what i think my favorite part is, 5D's, it's still one good ...

  • The best kid ever!!!
Finally not a super OP character ! I love this kid and his progression is great and the ending is heartwarming: and breaking at the same time. The total characters have good development and generally bring back some nice implements from the original.

  • Underrated but probably the best spinoff!
I had a lot of apprehension before beginning Zexal. The art style was a big change from what I was used to, and the characters are much younger. However, the depth of each character, the character growth, the plot (which was executed very well, especially compared to all the other spinoffs), the voice acting in Japanese, AND THE MUSIC blew my mind. I'll be the first to admit that I could not stand ...

  • A Very Underrated Series
Starts off slow, but if you can make it past the first 20 or so episodes it really picks up. Duels are very good, especially in the second season of this show. Zexal isn't for everyone, it's main protagonist can be annoying at times and the story takes a while to ramp up but I find it to be a really entertaining series.

    It's .... horrible and unwatchable
Zexal is many things .... and well thought out it is not. The cast is very poorly developed and the plot is nonsensical but to be fair that's the case for a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh!s. So why is this horrible besides the painful character designs. The show isn't even that fun to watch. Everything is obvious to the viewer upfront and feels stale. The show feels like like a TV show and more like a checklist ...

    a criminally underrated series
Before I start, PLEASE WATCH THE SUB INSTEAD OF THE AWFUL, AWFUL DUB. I really wish Crunchyroll had the original Japanese series but here's to hoping they get to license it like the other YGO series as this appears to be the ONLY one to not have a subtitled version. To truly enjoy ZEXAL you need to experience it in all of its raw, uncensored, emotional glory.

I've been an avid YGO fan ...

    My favorite Yu-gi-oh
Despite the dub not being good.
The subtitled version of this show is a fantastic entry to the franchise. It may start slow by the first season. But it picks up with tremendous speed and becomes fantastic at its second season.

Yuma Tsukumo for his age is actually a very relatable character, with being a beginner rather than a pro like most of the other protagonists are, and very underrated. ...

the worst of the yugioh series
Zexal embodies all of the worst qualities of the worst parts of other yugioh series. extremely annoying / unlikable main character , little to no focus on character development until very late in the show resulting in the audience having little care for what happens...and cringe-worthy dialogue / writting in general.

Especially coming right after 5ds, which is probably the darkest/ most serious ...

    The Worst Protagonist
If you're coming from 5D's, and then you're in for a huge surprise. After creating the best protagonist in the franchise (and Yusei is still regarded as the best duelist according to YGO's creators), you have Yuma--the "underdog" of the series. In fact, the "amateur" archetype is so overplayed in this series that a lot of people can't even make it past half of the first season.

    Essentially, you ...
