As someone who played this game, I was pretty sure it would become an anime after completing it and true enough it did become an anime adaptation. Do note that my review is based on comparision with the game and the anime. Also, this is the first time I'm giving a review so it will be somehow incomplete because I'm trying not to spoil anything.
Storyline: 5/5
To summarise the story without spoiling too much. It's basically about Satsuki Kakeru and his friends encountering the Red Night and fighting to find out the cause of it. In the process, they learn about why they are the only ones in that night and of course upon learning about it, proceed to eliminate the cause. Like every other action anime, there will be bad guys to prevent their course of action.
Since there is only one episode, it'll be hard to say any more without spoiling anything so I'll leave it at that for now. Also, on the first episode, too many things were rushed. Some of the minor details were omitted and some events did not take place in the game whereas they took place in the anime. I don't mind the missing minor details as long as they don't affect the main storyline.
Music: 4/5
Won't go too deep in this area. The music was great and I'm expecting each character's themes from the game to be used. They are fancy BGMs after all.
Characters: 5/5
Based on the opening and the ending, I'm guessing that the anime will be focusing on Yuka, Misuzu and Kakeru. If you have watched enough anime, you will know that focusing on a few characters out of so many will always mean one thing, the other characters will be less focused on. However, I do hope I am wrong because you can't really tell much based on the first episode. The unique thing about the game is, you can actually view story events from other character's point of view. So basically, you can understand each character on a personal level, instead of a "protagonist point of view only". So I hope the anime will have a similar way of showing the background/personalities of other characters, letting those who have not played the game, understand more about each character. The voiceovers weren't that different from the game, so that's another plus point.
Animation: 4/5
The animation was great however the main issue that lots of people have is, THE PANTY FLASH. The genre of the anime was supposed to be Fantasy, Horror, Action, Romance. As lots of people have also mentioned (from other streaming sites and anime forums) there is at least one panty flash about every 5 minutes of the anime. Personally, I don't mind panty flashes BUT having them once every 5 minutes? It's overkill. I wanted to give the animation 5/5 since it was really awesome however because of that one issue it dropped to 4/5.
Overall: 4/5
Great job for first episode. Was tempted to give this 5/5 however with slight disappointment I had. It fell to 4/5. Rushing events and letting only the main characters have the limelight is one of the things that destroys an anime.

An adaption of an adult-oriented visual novel, 11eyes makes the transition to anime fairly well, although some of the plot points could stand to have been as fully developed as they were in the game. As a dark fantasy series, it holds up nicely, with an interesting and visually striking setting and back story. Unfortunately, despite pretty good voice acting and good, if slightly rough, animation, the characters themselves—especially the supporting ones—are somewhat generic, and it's easy to lose interest in them and the story. It seems to me that it's the fast-paced action sequences and the stunning soundtrack that carry this series along when the characters and story waver. Thankfully, all the elements end up supporting each other, and where 11eyes' weaknesses could have made it a total train wreck of an anime, its strengths prop it up to a level worth watching—perhaps even more than once, for while it is by no means a masterpiece, it is not nearly as bad as some reviews would have anime fans believe.

11eyes es una de esas series que te mantiene atrapado para saber que pasara, que a veces te sorprende por el cambio de la trama, para mi el final de la serie debio ser en el capitulo 11 y no me gusto como termino, pero para resumir es una buena serie.

11eyes was a decent anime series. It's kind of dark but has a few moments of comic relief that doesn't seem to throw the whole mood off. For starters, this anime definitely fit the 12 episode cap. Everything was touched upon and there are no cliff hanging questions at the end that drive viewers insane enough to demand a second season. At first, you might be lost as to what is going on but around the 3rd or 4th episode you figure it out. While this anime may be an action anime, it does have a romantic element to it that will leave you banging your head against the wall but it doesn't dominate the plot. The music wasn't anything that sticks in your mind but it served its purpose and the animation was about the same. The characters are an interesting bunch and all have varying personalities like most character groups in anime. Overall, 11eyes is a very good series, especially with the rather...different...ending or should I say three endings. As this series did spawn from the video game, there are multiple endings and you can clearly tell where one ending ends and the other begins. However, the writers did a good job combining the three to create one great big finale for this great anime. All in all, I recommend this anime but be prepared for the endings.

This anime is pretty dark. That eyepatch on the main guy is indeed silly; if he wanted to hide his eye, there are more low-key outfit choices available. That "glasses on, glasses off" girl is unrealistic enough that it interferes with my ability to enjoy any scene she's in.
If you enjoy a certain kind of ending, let episode 11 be the last one you watch. If you like the other kind of ending, go ahead and watch episode 12. That is how this show manages to have two possible endings.... like a video game, or a choose your own adventure book.

Storyline:
The story actually has a somewhat interesting premise to it. However, it falls short throughout the series by never going to in depth with what is really going on. When you finally receive answers it feels like it was hastily brought up, rather than letting the viewer find those answers with the characters over time (meaning it takes a character to lay it out in practically one go). This is due in large part to the fact that it's only a 12 episode season.
Characters:
The characters are hit and miss for me. Most of the main characters have seemingly deep backgrounds, but just like the overall story, they are only brought up rather hastily because of it being a short series. I'm also not the biggest fan when a character overreacts to a given situation.
Animation:
Nothing really noteworthy here. 480p was the highest resolution it was available in and while it wasn't the most beautiful anime ever, it also isn't the ugliest. It gets the job done.
Overall:
If you're a fan of animes with some action and drama then this will probably be worth a watch. I wouldn't expect to come out of it feeling fully satisfied with it, but I doubt you will leave feeling completely ripped off. I just feel this story should have been done over a 24 episode season allowing for a deeper story and character development.

11eyes is an anime that actually triggers a person's curiosity from the first episode, something like an inner need to find an answer about the random and at the same time interesting scenes that keep popping up.
First of all I would like to mention the only thing that more or less 'forced' me not to drop this anime from the second episode. That was curiosity, the one that kept getting bigger and bigger from the very start. I have to admit that the curiosity was because of the story, or to be more specific, of the story that I thought that it would have.
Concerning the characters, at first they were more or less being used with a way of acting that was unnatural, that was unrealistic, in order to help the story to proceed. After that, a summary was made about the past that each of the characters had, which was in a way interesting and helpful to hear, but wasn't really that much of a use since the main character was metaphorically and literally controlling the plot.
About the sound, It was barely able to create the atmosphere that was needed. I wasn't able to feel the synchronization of the sound with the feelings that the characters had, or even with the environment itself.
Generally speaking, I think that the main problem was that the anime had only 12 episodes when the story needed more time in order to develop 'itself' in a more satisfying way.

The main character is a bit one-note with him constantly being in "must protect" mode. however the girl he wishes to protect is just sick. which everyone seems to see except him. he also has poor taste in eye patches. this show does that really awful thing that Code Geass did and made bad things happen to good people. the twist in the end though leaves it one stop short of being completely depressing. or it could just be that because it was so short I wasn't as emotionally invested in these characters as I was in Code Geass so their death didn't affect me as much. in any case, there's also some Haruhi Suzumiya type humor thrown in. you could describe this show as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Code Geass combined but of all around lesser quality.
Despite not reaching its full potential till the end, definitely one of the better animes out there. Even the title is just really cool. The music was really dramatic giving it this feel of epic-ness that I couldn't help but be swept up in. I know I sounded really negative, but the second half made watching the first half worth it. It's certainly worth a rainy day marathon at least.
