11eyes

This is practically my impression, of the visual novel-turned into anime. No, I did not play the novel.
We all know how the story goes where Kakeru, his annoying friend, and three other people were suddenly thrust into the world of 11eyes unexpected, and have to survive in order to go back to their daily world. The Dark Knights also comes in their way, calling them 'fragments' and tries to kill them. What do I think of it?
Characters:
Right, so we probably know now that the two main characters came from an orphanage and his older sister killed herself. I really like Kakeru's eye, it looks epic, and people say it's just like the Sharingan. We still haven't seen how much can he do with the eye, but it seems to buff the sword, give him gymnastic ability to do backflips, and predict the future. It's a double-edged sword; after the awakening, he totally spazzed out in pain. The Eye of Aeon...We'll see soon in episode 6!
But his friend, called Yuka, oh no, she's damn annoying. She won't die if we wanted her to(Happens ALL the time when the characters you hate to DIE, just won't DIE.) I'll tell you, she does have a power. And she will use it for evil purposes!
Misuzu is a swordsman, and have five swords. Uncommon in most animes where people have more then 2 swords(Correct me on this part.). Sometimes, for fun, people compare Misuzu to Shana. Excuse me, Misuzu has FIVE swords, and at least only one is flame. Shana is a red-head and have black head when inactive. Misuzu do not have a common phrase, do not have very red hair, do not have the name 'Flame Haze' and we already know it.
Next, Yukiko, the 'Boobs-Hugger-from-Hell', greets woman by hugging their 'boobs' mysteriously. First thing you may say, "Is she lesbian?" Apparently NOT. You take off her glasses and ask the same question to her, she'll kill you. Really, that's true I believe. A split-personality? I doubt it. But her regenerating abilities is kickass! But I wonder if her ability may get used up...She's from Drasvania(sp?), a nation in 11eyes.
Do you like fire? Takahisa have the ability to control fire, which I find okay. Isn't the element fire so overused? I mean it, mostly used is always, always fire. So grumpy, but on the inside, he's just like everybody else. One day he'd open up to everyone. I'm actually glad because mostly in a adult visual novel turned into anime, there's only like, one MAIN male that's surrounded by girls. This has broke the trend, FINALLY!
Kukuri. Mysterious, who looks alike to Kakeru's sister. I always think she is, since she never had memories of more than five years ago; where Kakeru's sister commit suicide.
The Annoying Panty Shots of Hell:
Accept it. The visual novel game is for adults. It's to be expected. At least the opening doesn't show flying panties like that anime.
The Eye of Aeon
Cool. But not surprising enough. We already have tons of characters with one eye that's godly, or two eyes that see through EVERYTHING. Let's see, we have Allen Walker from D. Gray-man for his cursed left eye, Lag Seeing from Tegami Bachi for having a special eye, and Rokudo Mukuro for his Six Paths. One character that can see through almost everything is Ray, from Ray The Animation(Not recommended if you hate disgusting stuff, really, episode 8 has that fungus which is disgusting.)
The Story
You can't stop but like/hate the storyline. However, sometimes it seems boring, like you want action and the current things showing on your screen is not needed! I fear that this anime is a 13 episode series!
Animation:
It's good to have blood. Right? It's very good.
Music:
They are EPIC. I believe that they were remixes of the music used in the game.
Overall:
I find it good. I like the Red night and Kakeru's powers. What it needs to stop now...is Yuka's annoyance.

This anime has a lot into already in the beggining. Its very interesting to watch, not to mention has a load of genre in it. For example the horror, romance, and action going on is intense. It also has an intense story twoard the main character, forgot his name, but still it is terrifying what is happening and what did happen to him. I also like how they add in the normal anime with the school and everything, even a little comedy it adds to this great anime. Since the anime isnt far along we arnt sure how long this will last. It seems like its going to be short but hopefully it will turn into something big.

This story reminds me of Shakugan no Shana. For anyone who didn't see it, if you enjoy 11eyes then you should watch Shakugan no shana. I loved the beginning, however, the actions starts to be more exciting as the story goes on. The drawings are beautiful. I absoutely love the theme song!The characters are well developed and the story get more interesting as it goes on. It's got a bit of comedy, horror(very little), mixed in with a tint of Romance. Very interesting, a must watch. I can't wait for Episode 3! Btw for those who want to watch it now and don't have site to watch it when it first comes out check out anilinkz.com! The movies come out 1 day later though.

Having not played the game nor reading the manga on this title, I went into the first episode blind. I was pleasantly surprised by a good plot, good characters, decent animation, and for the first time this fall season - a good soundtrack.

The first episode sort of teases you along the plot line, and in the end leaves you begging for more. Very nicely done piece of storytelling.

The basic plot is - boy and girl both have traumatic pasts, both are childhood friends, and both get caught up a surrealistic phenomenon which pulls them from the normal world, into an alternate world where it is lit by a blood red sky and moon - a world of nightmares beyond imagination. As they are dragged kicking and screaming into this mayhem, they also begin to wonder how their traumas from the past are related to this as well, as the dead begin to show up in front of them. Will they live, or will they die? What is the truth behind it all? Only time will tell...

A definite must watch anime for this fall season.

I thought the ending was predicatable. It was such a horrible anime. The storyline was so simple. I did like the fact that alot of characters died. But the characters were not logical. There was alot of things topics in the anime that were not covered. It was not detailed enough. I wanted to see more of the background from each character or how they would tie in each other. This anime did not show much of personal relationship toward each character. This anime is not worth watching. Dont waste your time.

I'll be bluntly honest here, the anime was incredibly mediocre. Looking at the first few episodes, the anime seems to be an interesting supernatural, but that's far from the truth..

Storyline: Once upon a time in a faraway city two childhood friends were frolicking together on a harmless date, until they were both transported into a mirror world of they're own called the "Red Night". Unfortunately upon arriving to the strange world they notice that they are the only humans present, and that it is inhabited by strange monsters. The boy being the selfless hero he is takes it upon himself to protect his useless childhood friend from the monsters of the Red Night, and from the Black Knights; whom want to kill the boy and his friends and eat them for soup..Ok the soup part may be a lie. Along the way they also meet others like themselves, who are trapped in the strange world. And so our hero's journey to find the mystery of the Red Night begins..

Seriously, the way the story was handled is a joke. The story showed promise, and really did have an interesting premise, however as we get deeper into it, the whole thing became a bumbled mess with to many plot holes and missing details. As much as a make fun of the story, I admit it has its moments. More specifically the part were

Music: The highlight and best part of the whole show. It help set up the atmosphere of the anime very nicely.

Character: The characters were the worse aspect of this show. The only ones who can be deemed as interesting would be Misuzu and Shiori. Besides that, the rest of the characters were either flat, uninteresting, or incredibly annoying to the point of ripping your eyeballs out. Most particularly Yuka, who was the main reason this show so unenjoyable for me. I said it once and i'll say it again; her mental stability is a joke. The fact that over half the series she spends her time either yelling Kakeru's name and putting bodily warm on her friends, and then gets all better at the end is silly.

And what about Takahisa, Yukiko, and Kukuri? They are main characters are they not? Why is it not no attention or overall character development has been applied to them at all? Might as well make Misuzu, Yuka, and Kakeru the main heros of the cast :\

Animation: Besides a few disproportionate body parts, the animation was ok but nothing impressive.

Overall: Overall, this is getting a 2/5. Would I recommend this? Not really. You'd be better off spending your time watching one of the more better and good anime shows out there.

This Anime is not in Class with Naruto or Bleach. I like the action so far, and i hope it continued being good action anime

Storyline: The two episode i have seen, i was lost. Storyline need more details, maybe later down the road. The storyline will be much better

As for the Characters, I personally love the Characters. They always have one who can't fight or have no powers lol, but i still love the Characters in this anime

My overall of 11Eyes, i give it a 3 and a half stars out of 5 Stars. Still too early to tell, but who know. Might be 4 out of 5 stars anime

Just so all of those who are reading this review know, this review is based on ONLY the first Episode. (RAW format, sorry I couldn't wait for subs) On another note, I have neither played the game or read the manga, so this series is totally new to me.

The main and sub characters are all high school students, (most likely) with most of them sporting super unnaturally colored hair. (Being an action anime it's kind of expected) Everything is well drawn and colored and the animation is smooth. The thing that bothers me is the fact that they send a panty shot in your face in every scene. I'm more accustom to seldom having them but this is kind of thing is definitely not my cup of tea.
The monster demon things that are used as the 'evil army' in 11Eyes look seriously funky, they're like a mix of octopi and snails with a face on it. They remind me a lot of the 'evil army' in the anime Noein, which are basically Giant Floating Faces.

The storyline get's people hooked, starting off the anime with a 'wtf just happened' moment, that would get any anime fan somewhat interested. Other than that, the main setting (based on the first episode) is in a nice, clean town probably in early-spring. However this peaceful little town is soon to be disrupted sending the main protagonists into a alternate universe where the town is desolate and the sky is dark-red.
Currently (being only 1 episode) there isn't much story development. (obviously)

As for music, it sounds like any other action anime music found in numerous action animes. Hopefully maybe a few episodes in they will bring out there 'real' songs. (real as in amazingly epic) The voice acting for the characters match; except for the main male protagonist, sometimes his voice fits perfectly, and sometimes he sounds like some old guy wearing a high school blazer.

As of now there is very little known about the characters, do not let the 3 stars deceive you, right now all we know that the main character is semi-blind (missing an eye) and his childhood friend is super fragile and clingy. With the other 3 mysterious characters that just popped up out of nowhere and had there own seperate scene where all it is is just close ups of there faces, nothing is known about them. (also obvious)

Overall I recommend this anime, it reaches and maybe even surpasses my expectations. Hopefully those who are planning to roll out this project don't rush the ending all in the very last episodes. I might make a review a bit later when there is enough info to make a proper review.
Another thing, it's hard to make first episode reviews, there's just not enough information to lay down. Also, if I sound like i dislike this anime in any way, I apologies, this anime is probably going to sit right up at the top on my 'to watch' list. (which isn't being recorded on Crunchyroll)
