A Bridge to the Starry Skies - Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi

this show for me has proved its worth, as a harem romance this show will not be liked by all although it shouldn't be shunned by the genre because its one of the best of them, art style was unique, the story flowed nicely, was very entertaining and funny, and ended happily with a sense of satisfaction, keep in mind that this anime is also an eroge so if you dont like the girl who was chosen for the end just go play the VN, overall great show <3

The show is about Kazuma Hoshino, a young student in the accompany of his young brother Ayumu Hoshino they both move to the beautiful countryside of a rural city called Yamabiko, on the way there they get lost and a monkey takes Ayumu's hat so Kazuma chases it into the woods where he bumps into a petite girl named Ui Nakatsugawa, she helps him find his way back to the bus stop where Ayumu is waiting for him. Charmed by her beauty Kazuma accidentally slips on a wet rock when crossing a river, onto Ui and it lands with a kiss. Ibuki Hinata catches them and attacks Kazuma for trying to physically harass Ui, but Ui explains the misunderstanding, Ibuki is not fully satisfied but helps Kazuma get back to the bus stop, Ayumu and Kazumanboth head off onto the bus towards Yorozuyo Inn. After returning to Yamabiko, Kazuma and Ayumu make acquaintances with a handful of other people. Senka Yorozu, the landlady of Yorozuyo Inn, is undoubtedly their first. A friend of their father's, who arranges their stay, Senka welcomes the boys into her home when they come to live with her; a gregarious woman, with a comedic side. To sum it all up Kazuma meets and makes more friends at his new school in Yambiko where he clears his misunderstanding between him and Ui and sooner or later Ibuki who goes to the same school become friends along with Ui, Daigo, Sakai, Madoka, Kasane, Tsumugi and Koyori. The story pretty much goes through with Kazuma meeting each character through the episodes of A Bridge To The Starry Skies and how he falls in love with Ui and discovers that Madoka was a long lost friend of his when he left to the big city. Before I give my thoughts I'll like to warn anyone who is reading this before watching series that I will putting SPOILERS (well for the ending at least). All I will say is that its a decent Harem anime. I believe its worth a watch for its characters. Now that I said all of that I'm going to give my thoughts on this anime. I'll be putting my thoughts into categories. Story, Characters, Animation/Music/Voices, Enjoyment Value, and Ending.

Story - The story of A Bridge to the Starry Skies may be the weakest part of this anime. I believe it was rushed a bit in certain spots and could of been better paced. Overall it was okay at best. 2.5 stars out of 5 stars

Characters - The characters is the strongest part of this anime (in my opinion) I really liked most of the characters that they portrayed. I feel some of them were developed quite well and I liked all of them for different reasons. 4 stars out of 5 stars

Animation/Music/Voices - I thought all 3 were pretty nice. I really like the voices of the characters and I feel like the voice actors did a good job. Animation was also quite nice and the music was also decent. 4 stars out of 5

Enjoyment Value - I enjoyed this anime. Some parts of this anime I really liked and it was funny overall. I never got bored watching this anime and it was worth my time. 4.25 stars out of 5

Ending - There is two sides to the ending one side loves it and the other side hates it. I am sorta in the middle. I didn't think it was terrible as some people said it was. The main reason people didn't like it was because they didn't like Kazuma being with Ui. That is very understandable, but it was pretty obvious that they do get together since the beginning. Overall I don't believe this series needs another season I think they wrapped it up well. 3.5 stars out of 5 stars

Overall I thought A Bridge to the Starry Skies was a better than average harem anime. I believe the characters are the strongest part of this anime and I say give it a shot. I enjoyed it.

A Bridge to the starry skies, is an adaptation of the visual novel "Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi". The anime centers around 2 brothers, moving from the city to the country side due to the poor health of the younger sibling.

The anime is a cliche of romance and harems, as this is an adaptation from a game, therefore should be expected. Even with this, the anime does well, as the beautiful visuals is very appealing and quite outstanding in any standard of anime. The characters are different and varied enough that the heroines don't seem dull, therefore bodes well for a romance anime. I must however say, that as expected from a game adaption, it isnt the greatest or the most outstanding romance anime, however it does well as a harem, and EXTREMELY well as an adaptation, compared to other game-to-anime adaptations.

All in all this anime is worth a watch if you like romance and comedy, it is quite cliched in many parts, however it works well with this. If you really like this anime, i recommend you try the game, as the stories of the other heroines are quite interesting.
