A Bridge to the Starry Skies - Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi

the anime is pretty short... I wish it could been longer.. For me I actually think it's a pretty good anime it's better than a lot of harem animes. It's also ecchi by looking at their busts... but I think the main guy character chose the wrong girl, because the girl is high pitched, clumsy, and clueless. Which is very typical for a lot of anime girls out there.. I loved the last episode it's so nice.. and at the end you'll find out why the anime is called the bridge to the starry skies. And the animation and characters were so cute and well drawn! :3

Another average, predictable and typical anime which falls into the ever so overrated and over-bloated harem genre. One, many girls, which one to chose? Going away from the obvious, I actually prefer this over We, Without Wings, another typical harem anime but worse. I don't really need to explain the story because its so damn predictable but the good thing is that it is never too forceful or rushed and is actually more straightforward than We, Without Wings. The characters themselves are predictable but at least the main character has some common sense and a bit of a likable personality and some of the girls actually have more than one dimension but overall, it's another average schlock of harem anime.

This anime starts off with two brothers arriving into town and then getting lost! The two brothers kazuma and ayumu arrive into town get on the first bus they see and it turns out they're going the wrong way. Later ayumu's hat gets stolen by a monkey which kazuma gets after chasing the monkey and getting lost again. After he gets the hat he meets ui and says "your a girl" like he has never seen a girl in his entire life! Ui then replies by saying "yeah...I am.". UI later heps Kazuma get back to the bus stop(also where his brother Ayumu was left behind) anyway while crossing the river kazuma falls on ui and kisses her and then he gets kicked in the face by Ibuki UI's friend. Ibuki calls kazuma a pervert for luring ui into the woods just to knock her over and kiss her. Later when kazuma and ayumu get to the inn kazuma takes a bath (from chasing the monkey and getting dirty) anyway while in the bath a girl named tsumugi and the owner of the inn see kazuma naked. The next day kazuma properly introduces himself to tsumugi and apologizes about last nights incident. Tsumugi replies "i didn't get a good look at anything" and then the innkeeper says " pretty hard to see with that size" with that said kazuma wishes he would die. At school kazuma finds out that he is in the same class as ui and ibuki. This came to as a shock to ibuki even though there's only one junior class. This anime seems pretty good so far and I recommend it.

Yes as the headline says this is about as generic as it can get. This visual novel from the company "Feng" the same people that did "Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka" which also has an anime adaptation The game came out on October 15th 2010 . I don't really mind the fact they pick do anime adaptation's of visual novels or the adult ones known as "eroge", is due to the fact that most of the time they feel rushed out the door just in order to sale more copies of the original source material. These can be done right i have seen it happen before look at clannad and kannon but I suppose this is good marketing strategy for some but on these type of games in order to promote and get more sales for the source material . One thing that is funny there is no voice acting change this time around.

The major gripe I do have though is cutting down to 12 episodes and only choosing to do 1 ending is not a good way to do things because it cuts out so much material and back story for each character. Alone there is 5 different endings or more for this game. This is not something that works to their benefit all the time, just look at the school days anime, they did the worst ending possible out of twenty three other endings. Hmm I suppose I can be a little optimistic about this since Yousga no Sora proved me wrong... and that ending was just wrong yet right on so many levels. ha "yes it had an incest with his twin sister for the... show".

I am going to do a check list and if you get offended by this tough sh** you would have to be blind not to notice these by now. I mean really also for those who do say it's harem, read my above post to see why it's harem. Normally it wouldn't be due the fact "you" choose the girl that you want to love in the game but well sh** happens. I do have on thing to ask you the readers though would you want to see a thirty episode anime with every route like in amagami ss or just a rushed out project like the love hina anime?? Well.. moving on from what could have been, here is the list of cliches I was able to find.

1.) The main male lead moved away with a younger sibling to the country side
2.) The accidental kiss
3.) The Typical Tsundere
4.) The Typical Shy Girl
5.) They are living in a hotel/inn "love hina was the 1st do this I believe"
6.) The main male just happens to be in same class as the girl he tripped over with and had an accidental kiss.
7.)His child hood friend remembers him but he doesn't "really come the hell on" also it's

I mean really there are more but I will not there isn't a point in doing so, even getting the "ecchi" out the way and no it's not "fan-service" to me It's just a time killer that's pretty to look at, which is a good high point for the anime. It's very well animated and looks clean crisp, most things seem to go pretty fluid and there doesn't really seem to be a lot of chops in the animation. The music is another high point I love piano and instrumental music overall to express emotions and it does it pretty well but even then with these perks the rest of it drag it down.

The characters and story overall are just generic, "tKazuma Hoshino moves out of town to take care of his younger sibling Ayumu Hoshino because he is frail and the country side seems to be better for him.. really?." There isn't a damn thing here ground breaking at all or mold changing at all so do not expect much what soever it's just basic setup for a harem anime. The only other praise I can give it though this time around is the fact that it has 3 male characters "even if Kazuma Hoshino little brother Ayumu Hoshino looks like a girl" at least they trying to get more males in the cast this time around and maybe even "Ayumu Hoshino" will get a girl as well who knows?In the end this just an average harem anime that's okay to watch but in all honestly are any of you going to re-watch this more than once and if so would you even care about this series from a year now?

The only new thing I wish to add at this point is the fact I actually do like a character, that would be Hina Sakai. She is one few arc-type characters that do not show up that often any more. She is such a sweet character pure character that has some typical flaws but this just makes here a character that girls can relate to. This is no way is going to change my score whatsoever but I do wish to point this out. This is not something a "good reviewer would do" I know this for fact now but I can not help but to just like this one character.

Guess what, it's a harem. Its opening has a good 7-8 girls in it and only one guy, how many non harem shows have that. Yeah I'm sacrificing my reviewing pride a bit by not going further, but come on! Its a harem! There's like 3 good harems in the hole genra.

Oh, that's right, magical girl shows also have multiple girls in the title. Let me watch a bit more of the show in hope.

So our show opens with our main character talking to a little girl like their both in a silent movie. He of course make the promise that they'll always be friends and we the audience get to wonder if he will forget her entirely (Elfen Lied style, seriously, watch elfen lied, much better anime) or if he will simply blow her off. (these kinds of things never end well)

After this we're introduced to a much older version of our main character talking with his... brother? The actor sounds like a girl, is that his brother or sister? I can't tell.

Anyways they are on their way to live with a friend of their father's. I know, real original right? ( I assume their father died off screen I wasn't really paying attention.) (if your looking for a series that does this well look into Hanasaku Iroha . Its on crunchyroll and is really good, i would highly recommend what I've seen so far.)

So our character examine their map and realize that they are infact going the wrong way. They instantly get off the bus and go to the opposite side, but the next bus doesn't come for an hour! They seemed shocked, but since the bus I ride to work always takes an hour inbetween buses I don't pity them. Japan must have a really sweet bus system though.

And then our most interesting character yet appears! Its a monkey! A monkey that steals the little sisters hat and goes running into the woods. (I've decided to go with sister till someone corrects me) So yeah, when stock monkey shenanigans are the best part of your show, stop it. This monkey better not become a supporting character. We really don't need that.

I just read at the top of the review guidelines that I'm not allowed to use vulgar language, that makes me sad.

And then our character climbs up a tree chasing the monkey falls 30 feet and dies. Story over.

I must say i was surprised it took such a gritty tone. The rest of the episode was spent cleaning up the body and the little sisters emotional breakdown at the death of her brother so close to the death of her dad. It actually makes you tear up a bit.

What? What do you mean that didn't happen? Why would I make something that good up? Oh yeah, to detract from this drivel. No of course he land in a bush so he's perfectly fine. With only is pride bruised.

While attempting to return to his sister our main character runs into what I think is a transformed magical girl. Cause not even the most girl sundress has that many frills and heart pendants.

And then the first genuinely funny line is said. "You're a girl?" Almost as if he's not sure. Granted if I ran into a girl that frilled up in the middle of the woods I'd be wondering if she wasn't a nymph or something. She replies with the only appropriate response of "Yeah... I am". Ok if the rest of this anime is like this scene. I'm in! Come on anime, don't f*** up!

As their walking back to the road the girl begins to recite a recipe for miso soup, much to the main characters discomfort.

He thanks her, but she responds that thanks were not needed as she only did it so he would not be eaten by a bear. Kind of a creepy reason, but ok.

And then we get a panty shot. Ok! Reviews over! Its a harem. F*** it!

This review was written for comedy purposes. This anime is not nearly as good as I make it seem and I highly advise you not watch it. If you are offended by this, theres probably a reason for that and you should take a long look at yourself. (after all, someones review really shouldn't bother you, (unless there's some niggling little doubt in the back of your head that doesn't go away no matter what you do))

If there is a magical make the anime better scene in the second half of this show, somebody send me a private message, I'll take a second look at the show, but as it stands, this one is s***, skip it.
