AMNESIA

This anime had very good art in my opinion and in the beginning the story seemed like it would be very interesting. I was drawn into this anime because of the art style and a unique and interesting plot. But the anime quickly began to go downhill from there. In the beginning episodes the protagonists amnesia seems to cover the flaws in her character. She is given almost no introduction and she has no real personality. In the beginning the amnesia seems to be the excuse for her lack of an interesting character but as the anime progresses it becomes clear that the producers of this anime had no intention whatsoever to expand on her virtually nonexistent character. she seems to just stand in the anime as a completely blank character and as the plot seems to go forward she simply goes with the flow while never showing her actual character.
Throughout the anime she is never given a name and it seems as if she only says 5 full sentences throughout the entire show. a majority of her speaking parts consist of ''um", "huh", "ahh", "hmm", and ect. The main character in this show seems to be a background character in her own story. The main character also seems to be extraordinarily dumb, at first i thought it was the amnesia but she simply lacks common sense. Her complete lack of common sense is soooo infuriating at many points.
In the end there is no full plot resolution. you never find out how the story ends and a majority of what you would like to know at the end of the anime is never shown. For me this anime was simply a waste of time. it starts off nice but from there this anime begins to take a steep fall.

I really loved this series!!!! Many people say that this anime wasn't well developed, but I say that it was one of my favorites. Really, I like animes that aren't cliche and I'd say that this one wasn't. Switching worlds, wish upon a star becomes true, obesession, and split personality, are all new things in my eyes. The character development was interesting and clean. I liked the seiyus for this anime. Though I'm pretty sure that many people hated this anime, I wanted to say that it wasn't! Of course, this is my opinion. Please don't hate too much.

First of all, I have to admit. I'm not the greatest fan of Shojo, or the Reverse Harem genre, or Romance. However, I have enjoyed a few of them on occasion and feel I can look on it with a discerning eye. It's my opinion to look for the positives in shows. That said, there isn't much for Amnesia
Amnesia starts just as the plot synopsis states. There is a young woman who wakes up with no memory. She then hears a voice, and meets a spirit that only she can see called Orion. Orion states that they are a the reason that the heroine, has lost their memory. Then, sprinkle in the plot points, and boys and there's your series.
Now, let me explain my rating. Honestly the series did a pretty good job with the overall animation. It looks pretty clean, the backgrounds can look a little stale and not well done, and the character design is pretty much along Romance title lines. This series is a watcher, if Romance is your thing, and I mean your "sit at home and stare at my cell phone so my boy will call" thing. You will like it if all you want is Romance. However, I honestly hated this series, mostly because it's not my thing. On the sliding scale of 1 being Reverse Harem title that sprinkles in a tiny bit of contrived action, and 10 being the Romance is the ONLY plot point. This series is a 10. The only plot points have to deal with when one of the characters kisses the heroine. That's the greatest amount of stress the main character is put through. That's pretty much it.
Of course naturally, She has to find out about her past and overall what caused the Amnesia in the first place. However, that isn't where the story takes you. It more focuses on the relationship between the characters, which I imagine translates well from the PSP game miraculously.
So, if you're looking for a Anime that transcends genres and is enjoyable for all, this isn't your baby. If relationship role play is entirely your thing, you will probably enjoy it. The mystery of the plot isn't enough to keep the casual viewer entertained. I would have given it 1 star, but the animation quality kicked it up one. Now, if I can only get Amnesia for what this series did to me, I'll be good.

To be honest, I started watching this because it "looked" quite interesting and unique. To begin with, the animation and the themes were pretty good for a start. Even though the first few episodes weren't my taste, I gave it a chance. I tell you I don't like abandoning anime unless if I really wasn't into it. So I watched it until the last episode. I felt really disappointed in the ending. Overall, I wasn't really that interested into the plot and how almost every single episode she would go back to August 1st and she doesn't know what happened to her. That just plain confused me. I wished they could have given the 'Heroine' a name! Truly, I felt like I wasted some time on this. The animation is splendid though. I do recommend this for fans who aren't so serious about anime or just recently started to watch.

Interesting plot but boring characters and development. Should have been longer and the outfits where a little too much fan service ish and unrealistic - the characters are a bit stereotypical too, and lack development. I really liked the idea of the dimensional jumps though, and the mystery involving Ukyu and the heroine. The other male characters seemed a bit unnecessary, when the whole thing was centered around the heroine and Ukyu.

Usually I'm pretty good about watching an anime and putting together the plot as it goes, but this one just didn't do it for me. I wasn't able to stay interested until the very end and ended up dropping the show 4-5 episodes in. I will agree with the others who have reviewed and say that the art is very good, but the eyes are distracting. I actually had to go back and rewatch the first episode because I couldn't stop staring at the eyes long enough to read the subtitles.

I may go back at a later date when I don't have anything to do and finish watching the show (if am desperate to watch something I haven't seen before), but as of right now I just can't finish the show.
