Alright, I discovered this anime awhile back. To me it was just another thing to pass time while I waited for something to download or waited for something to upload on YouTube. Oh man, oh man oh man oh man! >.< Never in my life have I found such a touching, heart racing, action packed, love story anime in my life.

It literally has everything you could ask for, between comedy, horror (not much maybe a few scenes), typical high school life to even the f***ing laser grid in the first resident evil movie omfg!!!!
I've watched it roughly 4 times all of which in one sitting. Sometimes I would watch it when I'm feeling down and needed a good laugh or wanted to jam out to an awesome song from here, it doesn't matter this anime will fulfill your deepest wishes for what an anime should be.

Literally made by the only people who in the same episode make you laugh you ass off then cry your eyes out and make your heart melt all in the same episode. This anime jsut proves the fact that you don't need 50+ episodes to make an amazing storyline, hell you don't even need for it to be som Sci-fi wanna be either. If you don't believe me well then why don't you go ahead and watch the first episode and find out what the Shinda Sekai Sensen is all about huh?

Men, beware. Just move on past this one...keep moving...there's nothing to see...

This anime will obliterate your God-given machismo. Don't fall victim to this anime's heartfelt, touching, and emotionally moving story. This show digs deep and pulls out some things better left untapped. If I could sell my tears, I'd be a rich man after watching this one.

Oh for God's sake, did you notice I wrote "heartfelt, touching, and emotionally moving"????!!!! Ugh!!! What more proof do you need, man??? Run, Forest, run!!!

OH! If you do watch this (I mean, if you're a girl...), make sure to watch past the credits - especially the last episode.

I love this anime. The story is very original and the character are all complex. First off I will just say that this anime is not the kind off anime that will immediately pull you into the story, but believe me it gets better as you go along. I loved that story behind this anime and the story that fueled the plot was amazing. However at the end of the anime there were still a few unaweswered questioned in my mind and that brought the rating down. Now speaking of endings this anime has one of the most sadddest endings ever. Now the chracters ctart off dead, so you might ask how could it possibly b that sad. Believe me the ending is right up the with clannad when i come to depressing. This anime is a great watch for those of u who like a touching story, but be warned the ending is SAD

If you are a first time anime watcher I would definitely suggest: "Angel Beats!" it hasa really good plot, nice characters, and a great ending. This anime is set around ficticious beliefs, so please don't look at this show like it's terrorizing your mind, or go to therapy k?
The series is set around teens who have left earth a bit to early if you are not tthe crying type watch this and see what your opinion is after

Anywho that's my review-Ap

I don't understand what this anime is trying to be. I don't think it does either. It bounces between genres so much and so quickly that I never felt I had time to get settled in. It's funny one minute and then in the middle of a joke it gets somber before immediately entering a gun battle. I really think they could have made a great show if they just focused on one of those aspects and ran with it. There are parts of the show that are very emotional but they lose some weight when they're mired in humor and gun-violence.

Now that i've gotten the constructive criticism out of the way allow me to be frank. WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WATCH? It's like logic is foreign to both characters and creators. "Hey kid, I know you just woke up but you're dead. but still in high school. and I've got a gun made out of dirt, pointed at an Angel because even though you're already dead she'll kill you by reincarnating you into a random sea creature. So help us steal meal tickets from these other kids who look real but are NPC's in what has got to be the world's WORST pc game (and who are also distracted by our girl rock-band)". That's a summary of the first few episodes.

Now normally the standard joke to make about something that is illogical or random or scatter-brained is to say "oh man. they must have been on drugs when they made that." (or some variation of that sentence). I'm here to tell you that this is not the case. How do I know? because even when you're on drugs things tend to make more sense than this show. I've had conversations with garden gnomes while tripping balls and this show makes LESS SENSE THAN THAT. What's even worse is the main character's acceptance of all the absurdity. He's dead and realizes this but doesn't ask any of the questions a normal human being would in his situation. He just rolls with it. good for him? Whatever. 3 stars for some good death related humor and MST3K worthy wtf-ness.

What really hooked me to this show was the first episode. It had a lot of random moments, but once it got closer to the end it was just beautiful. And seeing as how this show had a lot of random moments it shines in a lot of different ways. When it wants to be funny its hilarious. When it wants to be happy you feel the emotion. When it wants to be sad it reaches to your soul. I would watch this again simple because the music in this show is that memorable.

Take the test people. You think you can't cry over some dramatic series? Then try this! Although this is under Romantic/Comedy, the action in this was actually extremely good quality fighting. Now as for the comedy, it kept me rolling every other minute. Not to repetitive and the jokes the characters pulled where great. Moving on to romance, it never got into detail about the relationship and feelings that went on between the characters because they where doing a crazy good job keeping the arc going. But, at the same time you knew exactly who was falling for who. By the end some crazy stuff goes down between the romance, but that's the good part. So now, the main part that gave this anime a 5, the drama! Talk about motivational speeches that for once don't bore you while your watching the show. The whole rough pasts and flashbacks really had you moved, but nothing beat the ending. The ending is what had me on the brink of tears. I got so close to watery eyes I had to start taking deep breaths! Jeez that drama was so good! Make that season 2 and even 3 my people!
