I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BETTER
From what I heard this was suppose to be a great/sad/romantic series. It was somewhat sad but, I just didn't feel the emotions I was expecting or wanted. I found Anohana's voice actor and character to be somewhat annoying and I felt that took my attention off some of the emotions. Not a bad series, just not what I expected. 3 out of 5 stars, I know people are gonna think i'm crazy. I might need to ...

    An Anime to Remember
This show had more story, emotion, character development, etc... in eleven episodes than some regular TV Shows in the USA have in 6+ seasons of airing.

This show is nothing short of a masterpiece and something that I think anyone who is remotely interested in anime should watch. It validates anime as something more than just pokemon, Naruto, One Piece, etc... It shows that anime can move you in ...

This anime is one of the ones that I knew going into it, I was probably going to leave in tears. I was definitely right haha. The plot of this anime is really terrific and really stands out among other slice of life animes. This is more what I'd call a "Plotted slice of life". Sure it's a ...

  • Easily my favorite so far (I love the feels)
This anime is easily my favorite so far (I've been watching anime a couple years fairly religiously). You will cry. If you're like me, you'll shed at least a couple tears pretty much every episode. I've never seen so many emotions portrayed so perfectly like that. Makes you think. A lot. Which is good. Then there's also the distinct nostalgia because it makes you reflect on your own childhood. At ...

  • Second time watching it, but still feels the same
Great characters, well-portrayed and nuanced. Not really a coming-of-age story, but more coping with and moving on from tragedy. For the most part, everyone has a childhood, regardless of how long or brief it may have seemed, and most likely a few friends who were there along the way, making this series easily relatable. It's also likely that the older you are, the more you'll find to connect to ...

  • A unique prespective on grief.
Anohana excels at something that's quite rare in the anime medium, a character driven plot. Often times in an anime there is always those few characters you don't really care about because lets be honest they're just there to fill some archetype quota. Anohana is different in that the entire story is driven by it's characters interactions with each other and their various ways of dealing with ...

  • Anohana ruined my life- would recommend
It's not hard to make me cry; I'm not exactly stoic, but I can't remember the last time I sobbed so hard for so long. This anime is a rollercoaster of emotions- anger, jealousy, envy, loss, and guilt. Every member of the Super Peace Busters blames themself for what happened to Menma five years before.

And yet there's this unstoppable force of joy, love, and hope that is Menma, who can even make ...

  • One of the saddest anime
Anohana has a simple story but tear wrenching scenes. Some people can relate to the character and the adventures they go on. The characters are amazing in every way. There's some drama but it adds to the story. This is one anime that does not just revolve around 1 or 2 characters but all. Of course there's your mains, but they show every back story so you know everyone's past. This is THE best ...
