  • A tale of friendship and bittersweet memories~
Anohana (both the anime and live-action film) are binge-worthy! I would watch them over and over again to share with friends, and possibly end up crying each time. An excellent find!

Jinta believes he is delusional when his childhood friend, Menma, appears before him. Some years ago, Jinta and his friends were hanging out outdoors, when Menma slipped off a steep cliff into the nearby stream and ...

  • Hits you with All the feels
I've been watching anime for probably as many years as anime has been in the US, and I don't remember an anime hitting me with all the feels nearly every episode. You feel for every character, something you don't see that often. Perhaps the least fleshed out character towards the end has a reveal that put them on even footing with how affected by the events that damaged everyone. My only regret ...

  • One of the most touching stories I've witnessed.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this show. I read the short description, but didn't think too much about it. It was recommended to me after saying I enjoyed Your Lie In April. I had no idea what I would be in for.

Each character is completely understandable, as in you can relate to them. Finally, when it gets down to it, you will be drug through the entire spectrum of emotions. When ...

  • One of the Best Drama Anime Out There
    WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD :)

I have wiped my eyes of the tears that have been lingering there since the start of the final episode of Ano Hana, debatably one of the most emotionally driven, down to Earth, and genuinely sad anime I’ve ever encountered. Sitting down to watch this anime is not a temporary respite from school or work or boredom, it’s a commitment from school or work or boredom. While ...

  • Heartbreaking and Beautiful
Realistic portrayal of people who have grown apart as they've grown up. All of the characters have an internal struggle that is holding them back in some way. I don't want to give too much away, but this anime is simply beautiful. If you want something that will make you cry your eyes right out of your face - this is the one!

  • A wonderfully believable anime
I watched this after hearing the ending song (kind of a backwards process :P). It looked good so I started watching it. After delaying for a few weeks I got into watching the next episodes at a much faster rate, as the story was so intriguing. I was very happy with this anime, it had believable characters, a good story line, and a touching and complete ending. By that I mean with this anime, I ...

    A roller coaster of emotions
I don't even know where to begin when it comes to this anime, from the first episode until the last I felt as if I just wanted to cry. You experience a roller coaster of emotions as you click from one episode to the next, Anohana is so relatable in terms of how people deal with the death of someone close to them. Up until our game addicted high school drop out Jintan reunited the "Super Peace ...

    It had potential, but...
It had potential, but turned out totaly uninteresting. I'm so sick and tired of series where everything turns out fine 2-3 minutes before the end of the last episode ends. If they had let her appear gradualy for the rest of the gang. If she had been reborn and then it had been an episode 12... It would have saved it for me. To sum it up: It's all about his feeling for her and they drag it out, and ...

    A Masterfully Crafted, Emotional Story
I'm still recovering from crying all through the final episode and won't write much, but just know that all the top reviews have the right of it. Anohana is a masterfully crafted anime that is able to tell its story in just 11 episodes and will leave you feeling very satisfied (if a bit of an emotional wreck).

Highly recommended, you won't regret watching!
