  • Great to watch, would highly recommend
I liked this anime soo much, it can really get to you at the end. The only thing i was wondering is why dire't Menma prove that she was there with them earlier instead of making Jinstan look a bit crazy. That was the only thing that annoyed me a bit, but after that its really worth watching.

  • the feels again, it was short but gets me again
you can't but feel for these characters as they deal with the loss of a childhood friend. sometimes though, it's these stories that are the best, seeing the struggles of these friends as the past continues to change, affect, move and of course reconcile their own issues. i felt the pace of this anime was distinct and didn't try to get gimmicky with its approach. you could tell they all wanted a ...

  • Such a beautiful story
Loved the characters and story. It was a beautiful journey, with some twists and surprises along the way. So glad I decided to watch this one finally. Jintan was an awesome main character who didn't steal the spotlight. You could tell the story began from his perspective, but you quickly realize his connection (and disconnection) with the rest of the group was the real story here.

  • This is high up on my list
Not gonna lie, this isn't a perfect anime in terms of practicality. There are times when I just stopped and thought; "wait, couldn't they have just done this?". I'm also not an anime expert by any means, but all things considered, this was one of the best shows I've seen in a while. The characters feel very realistic and, even though I don't always agree with what a lot of them do or say, I can ...

  • The best cry I've had in a while...
I'm an emotional person by nature, so it's not all that surprising when an anime, or rather a scene from an anime, makes me cry. This, however, was in a league of it's own. From beginning to end, I was a wreck, but with such a touching, sad, beautiful story of love and friendship, it was worth every tear. Each of their individual feelings for Menma, and one another, creates a web of emotions that ...

Beautifully bittersweet, and worth every tear
There's really not much I can say that other people before me haven't already said, so I'll stick to the basics. Anohana has everything you need. The story is so immersive and surprisingly down to earth, even with its supernatural premise. It has strong characters that have substantial growth from beginning to end, even the ones you probably didn't like in the beginning. Every character is a ...

  • Ghoust, old love, drama, fireworks, and closure are the main story you'll find here and a confusing "why did you let them think I was crazy this whole time" kind of question in the background.
Some may be emotionally wrecked by this series, I've seen sader, not to diminish it, but this is a good and happy series full of reunited friends, old love, second chances (the main character starts out as a high school drop out who stays in his room at his dad's house), and closure. Kind of sounds like high school reunion and it kind of is like that, but seriously any good otaku keeping a list ...

  • Finally, a drama that isn't plagued by childish decison making
This came recommended by MAL which had had a pretty good track record; and still does. The art and character designs are great, but that’s to be expected when there are no spectacular action sequences. Each character is distinct and easy to recognize. One thing I want to praise about this anime first and foremost is how realistically it plays out. At no point do the characters engage in the poor ...

  • I watch, I cry, I live, I love!
Anohana present an emotional connection between Menma and her friends. Her disappearance broke my heart into tears and could not stop crying. I love what this anime give me, an emotion. That is why I can't stop shedding tears because I love Anohana and also Menma.
