    Connections Were Made
In the first episode, I didn't understand the concept until the last two minutes, and when it hit me, I started crying... Hard. I realized what was going on, and who exactly these people were, and I thought I found the story of my life, which I did. It's been 2 hours since I finished and I'm still crying, and after I realized the loss within the story, I shouldn't have continued, it made me ...

  • A nice edition for those with emotions
"The more things change, the more things stay the same. Boundaries shift, new players step in, but power always finds a place to rest it's head. We fought and bled alongside the Rus-" wait a minute! Sorry, sorry. Too much Modern Warfare...

An emotionally moving anime has very commonly been associated with romance and indeed many of the well-known emotional anime have lots of romances in them ...

    One you *have* to watch
11 episodes of beautiful storytelling; I love how the overall story unfolds throughout the series, and they tell it in a way that makes sense. This is the first anime to ever make me cry at the ending. Everything that happens really gives a sense of the definite "what could have been" if that one thing had not happened. This is one of my most recommended things to watch.

    Beautiful, absolutely must watch
This anime deals heavily with the concept of life after death, and the scars that are left on the living long after a loved one has died. I came very close to tears, which is saying a lot because i almost never cry over anime/tv/books. This is one of the few that has made me do exactly that, as well as feel a profound sadness. Growing up, growing apart, and coping with life are all themes covered ...

    Beautiful Show, Many Tears Shed
I came into this show knowing it would be a sad one, but I didn't know what the story would be. All I wanted was for something emotional, and beautiful. Something that could make me cry and this really delivered. Watching the characters progress, yet return to the past was really moving to me. I really do love this anime.

I'm not crying, I've just been cutting onions. I'm making a lasagna....for one.
    MENMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What this show manages to do in just 11 episodes... I can't even put it to words. You will feel every emotion on the feels-train, from engine to caboose. I managed to make it through 10 episodes without breaking down. However, that last episode...the emotions just keep coming and coming until they burst through my resolve. I dare you to do better.

If you are looking for a ...

    Amazingly Beautiful...
This show was so beautiful and is a sad story but once you get to the end... tears start to flow... I don't know why but I enjoy anime's that make me cry... like Toradora and The Pet Girl of Sakurasou and many others that just make the feels come as shivers down my spine and tears down my face...

I still hold up it as an example...
REALLY good. People say it's emotional like Clannad, but I went through the entire anime without shedding a tear. Until the end of course, then I bawled like a child. Beautiful story, happy ending (as much as can be expected). Amazing what they did with only 11 episodes at their disposal.

I have to emphasize that last part. So many animes get crammed into 12 episodes, and almost always the ...

    A Melodrama Done Right
Anohana is one of those rare anime's that takes a genre that's often misused by anime creators or hated by the community, and makes is right. It will have you start feeling for the characters from episode one, and may even have you in tears in the first episode. But I guarantee you, that you will be hit hard by the time this series ends. I even start to feel like crying simply by thinking about ...

    Impossible to forget
Anohana jumps into the realm of anime that is very atypical. It was sad and yet refreshing. It was calm and yet bold. I've watched hundreds, if not thousands of anime growing up, and this is one of the very few that if you mentioned the name, I would remember immediately what it was. It left a lasting impression on my emotions. A true work of art.

The story centers itself on the life of a young ...
