Young Adults in the Processes of Healing a Scared Past
Anahola is anime about a girl who only the main character can see. From the get-go viewers learn that this girl has died many years ago when main 4 characters were still children.

Now the main character tries to Bring together his old friends again and reconnect with them, closing up wounded chapter on the death of Anohana, and moving on from the past.

Being very lighthearted, I highly ...

  • Amazing and Worth the Feels
This show knows what it is doing with the reveals. It goes a long way with setting up these characters and breaking all stereotypes against them. Guilt is shared between all of them, but not in a conventional way.

  • Lovely Journey & Sad
This show will literally make you cry. Not gonna lie right now, but I cried a tad bit at the ending of this. The story, is very sad, the soundtrack, is very moving, the characters having their own problems, and each of them finding a way to cope of losing one of their close friends, and the ending was very touching...

One issue completely ruined the show for me...
Actual rating: 1.5 stars. NOTE: THIS IS A SPOILER REVIEW.
(This has been edited and elongated to clarify my thoughts, so at least one person won't hate me and dismiss me as a troll or contrarian for its own sake.)

Sorry if you had massive feels from the show, and you're offended by the low rating, but I'll explain why I couldn't like this show. I can't really justify such a strong ...

  • All aboard the Feels Train!
As a hardcore anime, I can not stress how amazing this series is. Beautiful animation, beautiful story, beautiful characters. This is by far the most beautiful series I have ever seen. This story does an incredible job of letting you connect with these characters on an emotional level in very few episodes.

  • Lay down, try not to cry, cry anyways.
It took me a long time to watch this. It was recommended to me based off my love of Orange's manga. But after watching Your Lie in April, I had a hard time putting myself in a vulnerable situation again.

However, I'm very glad I did. I knew from the beginning what was going to happen, and watched it progress... and still cried!

It was a beautifully done show, with some unexpected twists of ...

  • Anime: Prepare to cry edition
I'm a huge fan of anime series with the feels. I love the way they make me feel (very sad), because they make feel human. Too often are our feelings repressed, it feels good to have a show to get lost in and just let them all burst out.

Anohana will make you laugh, and it will make you cry. As a fan of sad anime series, Anohana has been on my radar for quite some time now. I just finished ...

  • Drama that will give you the feels
I'm always looking for the next show that will really give me an emotional response. It is rare I find a show with moments that can genuinely get me to tear up and often it is for but a moment based on the situation On that quest, I searched for lists of "Saddest anime" and this title kept coming up on the list.

Anohana is about a group of six friends as children who grew apart over the ...

  • Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day - A (somewhat) serious review.
So a little backstory on my watching of this show, I watched it during the spring of this year (2016) during a pretty rough phase in my life. At the time, I hadn't really watched any shows that were relatively serious/had heavy themes so what a way to start it out right?

    LIGHT SPOILER DESCRIPTION
