~the flower we saw that day~
I enjoy a wide variety of animes but gems such as Anohana will always truly stick with me. I want to keep this short and to the point, Anohana is a drama focusing on a group of high schoolers who haven't truly moved on from the death of their friend, Menma. Anohana is truly amazing, emotional and gets one of the highest recomedations I can give it. Want to see something amazing? Want to cry your ...

Watch this anime before you die
When I recommend an anime, it usually comes with some sort of qualification: for instance, when I recommend Hanasaku Iroha, I say, "Watch this if you like slice of life." For Sasameki Koto, I say, "Watch this if you like yuri," and so on. With Anohana, I simply say, "Watch this." Anohana is my favorite anime; period. Watching it is not an experience you will regret.

  • Simply put: One of the most beautiful works I've seen
I don't usually cry from watching an anime but this one did it for me. I've never actually cried in any other anime that I've seen. This has a heart-warming story with characters that you really get a feel for. This is a MUST-SEE anime and I would recommend it to anyone, regardless of favorite anime genre. To reiterate other ratings: If you haven't seen this yet, you have to watch it.

First Anime to Make Me Bawl
I've seen some great anime before. Many that were action packed and many that touched my heart. Never before have I seen an anime though that was able to make me bawl like a baby. This show is very sweet and tells an amazing story about lost friendships and love. It has a few moments that make you cringe and not every character is all that likable, but it has a much more relatable base of ...

    Tear-jerking.....!!!
An amazing anime, and my #1!! Sooo sad, but I found it as the sweet kind of sad, you know, the kind of sad that you feel in your gut first and kind of want to laugh/cry? I loved it sooooo much, and highly recommend it!!!

    Saky's review #1 Anohana
A group of six childhood friends drift apart after one of them, Meiko “Menma” Honma, dies in an accident. Ten years after the incident, the leader of the group, Jinta Yadomi, has withdrawn from society and lives as a recluse. One summer day…, the ghost of an older looking Menma appears before him and asks to have a wish granted, reasoning that she cannot pass on into the afterlife until it is ...

Touching. A reminder of why I love anime.
Watching this show was a wonderful experience. Equal parts touching, warm, and funny, it deals with the heartbreak and loneliness of loss. There were a lot of tears shed throughout the series as I reflected on my own losses and the wonderful things which remain in my life. I highly recommend it. Top notch.

Thank you, Crunchyroll, for another great series.

    Just plain beautiful
This is one of my absolute favorite anime of all time. Literally. I can hardly describe how it makes me feel. Its humorous, beautiful, dark, depressing, enlightening, uplifting, emotional... its all of those things all wrapped up perfectly in a tight 11 episode package. There is one simple thing that I am upset about with this anime. It has no English dub. Personally I don't care all that much, ...

    *** Feels: The Anime ***
I was so into the story I watched all of the episodes in a row. I don't think I stopped crying either! It is definitely well made, and all though there are a few plot-holes, you are so immersed in the story you don't even mind.
