  • Finally Crunchyroll!
This anime is the best of the 2011 season hands down. Its plot devices and intimacy will reach the depths of your soul. It will captivate you bringing you into the drama. The story is realistic and shows how well we cope with the hard things in life. Only problem is though that they changed the ending theme song! I suggest you youtube it was a way better one. I haven't listened to the opening ...

  • Way better than expected!
Just finished Anohana and all I can say is WOW! I am not one that usually watches this type of anime but it is a must see. The story line on this is one of the best I have seen. It draws you in so that you feel exactly what the characters are going through (and it will bring you to tears). They did an amazing job on animation and character development and couldnt have asked for a better ending ...

This anime will definitely make you cry!
This show was such a sweet and sad one....it made me cry at the end. The opening and ending songs did not help either, but it contributed to the sadness of the story. I highly recommend you watch it if you are into tear jerking shows

Cried my heart out, but it was worth it.
I watched the whole series in a sitting. I just couldn't get enough of it.
The animation is excelent. I really loved how they managed to transmit the proper emotion through the eyes of the characters without overdoing it or making it look silly, and the moments of comedy were very well delivered and in good balance with more serious moments.

I highly recomend it because of the story, the ...

  • Must Watch Anime!!!!
Heart warming... This anime is by far one of the most touching and eloquently made pieces of art that I have ever seen. The plot is interesting, the characters are certainly slice-of-life, and the heart-aches are real. MUST SEE THIS

Beautiful! Will please all but the most hardened synics.
I was impressed when The Girl Who Leapt Through Time made me tear up a bit towards the end, but after a few viewings, the tears stopped coming. Anohana brought tears to my eyes several times, and I was a weepy snotty mess on three separate occasions.
I'm glad to say that this isn't one of those shows that just happened to push one of my buttons; in fact I'd say that the buttons ...

  • One word: Beautiful
Watch it. You won't regret it. This one made me cry like a baby - and I wasn't even ashamed that I wept. If you've ever experienced death of a friend in youth, you'll see how real this story is. The confusion. The regrets. The anger. The shame. All of it, so griping and completely human. This isn't just an anime. It's a work of cinematic art in every respect.

A great drama and a must watch
All I can really say is this ones like Grave of Fireflies, extremely good, well written, good voice acting, great interaction between characters BUT it's going to make you cry. So its worth watching, but keep a box of Kleenex handy!

Simple. Sweet. (and just a little) Sad.
Okay, maybe more than a little SAD. It actually made my throat hurt from holding back tears. LOL. Like most of the reviews here have mentioned it is a tearjerker, so you may want to bring out the Kleenex (towards the end). But, all in all it is a very sweet anime to watch. The plot moves along nicely, the animation is beautiful to watch, and the characters keep you interested in their own dramas. ...

    Better get those tissues ready
This show set the bar for dramas. Following closely behind Grave of Fireflies, Anohana is honestly one big tear-jerker. Especially towards the end. This show depicts how the loss of one girl can pull friends who've strayed so far from each other back together and finally move on with their respective lives. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a very deep plot packed with drama. 5/5 is all I ...
