    Anohana, Simply Beautiful:
Anohana is one of those shows where if you haven't watched it yet, you have to at least try it. I understand that the story isn't for everyone but please, I implore you to try Anohana.

    The Story: 5/5
Beautifully written. The story seamlessly flows throughout the entire series, there is not one hitch throughout the show. Out of five stars the story for me would easily get ...

  • Best anime drama I've seen
I thought other shows were good, but this is probably the best anime drama I've seen. I don't know why it's so special, but for some reason it manages to do everything right. A must see for anyone who says their a fan of anime.

  • Anohana is simply gorgeous.
I'll keep this brief because I'm still processing the ending (just finished a couple hours ago).

I'm a 19 year old man who hasn't cried in years, and I was SOBBING UNCONTROLLABLY at the end of this series.

Beautiful plot, beautiful character development, great animation, a must see for sure!

    Easily one of the Saddest
If you know how it feels when someone close to you passes away, this anime will remind of that, and you can relate to at least one of the kids.

I almost feel like I knew Menma too.

    It's that good :3

Treasure your love one as if they're going to die tomorrow.
    Idea
"Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day is a story about moving on from the death of a love one."
The story begins when Jinta is left with no choice but to revisit an old tragic past because of constant pestering from a dead childhood friend name Meiko. As a result, Jinta unintentionally meets his former childhood friends whom some with feelings of hostility because of the ...

  • This is going to make you cry like a baby
Warning: If you watch this through to the last episode you're probably going to cry like a baby!

It's the story of a group of childhood friends. Menma, one of the group dies in an accident. After her death the group drifted apart. Years later the friends come to grips with her death when she comes back as a ghost.

Pretty good animation quality. Nice songs and voice acting.

  • One of the best I've seen.
Probably the best anime series I've seen since "Angel Beats!"... both have very similar themes and powerful emotional endings. So if you like "Angle Beats!" you will probably like this and vice-versa.

5 stars does not do it justice -- If you are willing to let yourself experience emotions at this level I cannot recommend this series highly enough.

  • Simply Amazing in All Ways
This anime was simply amazing, I would watch again. However, I do not want to start tearing again. It brings of thoughts about friendships, loved ones, regrets, everything that one would normally just block out. Its an amazing anime not because it was sad and heart warming, its because it made you take a look at yourself after watching it.

Irritatingly slow start, but wraps up beautifully
We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day (henceforth Anohana) is best described as a slice-of-life series that quickly distills into an emotional drama, with some romantic undertones that aren't clear until the last episodes.

And the last parts are quite poignant, exploring the inner thoughts that lie behind all of the friendship and love that even the best of ...
