Don't waste my time!

This show is completely worthless. The plot is so banal am surprised it got through spellchecker, much less the editing process (assuming there was one). The art is lack-luster, the characters one dimensional, and the premise... what is this I don't even... About the only thing this show has going for it is the fan-service, and it doesn't even do that well. You'll get more stimulation out of ...

This show is completely worthless. The plot is so banal am surprised it got through spellchecker, much less the editing process (assuming there was one). The art is lack-luster, the characters one dimensional, and the premise... what is this I don't even... About the only thing this show has going for it is the fan-service, and it doesn't even do that well. You'll get more stimulation out of reading a copy of Vogue.

Strong Concept, Terrible Execution

The concept of a fantasy story drawing from the Console Wars of the eighties and nineties could've been an interesting idea; in fact the very concept is what drew me to this series in the first place. However, the execution of this awesome concept is what brings this story down to a single star.

The concept of a fantasy story drawing from the Console Wars of the eighties and nineties could've been an interesting idea; in fact the very concept is what drew me to this series in the first place. However, the execution of this awesome concept is what brings this story down to a single star.

The pacing of the story is awkwardly fast, first of all, but that's the least of it's problems. It's characters are bland and completely flat, each basic archetypes; the main character, Gear, being the generic fantasy hero with nothing particularly special about him or the way he's portrayed other than the fact that he's Sonic the Hedgehog. Really, other characters fall under archetypes themselves ( Nel being the cute, quiet younger sister and Opal being the tsundere warrior who fights along the hero.)

I have no idea why people find this funny; there really aren't many jokes to speak of, unless you count video game references as jokes, which... well, I don't. I guess the one joke there is where Opal imagines what Gear will do to her for their bet... but, quite frankly, that's more of an excuse for more T&A. It doesn't really go into full parody mode either, which might manage to liven up the completely uninteresting and generic show.

The fights are awkward and really aren't anything special, also. The animation is stiff and uninteresting; this show must've been made on no budget, considering both it's animation and the fact that it only comes once per quarter...

To summarize, don't get hooked by the premise, because you'll only get bitten.

This anime is really gooooooood. I mean in my opinion its got everything,

1. its got a strong main character
2. Sexy /This is no way a hentai!
3.Actions good
4. Great plot
5. Must I continue?

I don't think I've ever face-palmed more in a single episode of anime before in my entire life. This anime might as well be a hentai if they removed the censorship bars. It's definitely not my cup of tea, but if you like watching blatantly obvious sexual puns with really bad action scenes, go right ahead.

UGH... Just Cancel it Already!

1 star means zero to me.
This poor excuse for an anime is running episodes on a quarterly basis. In My opinion its not even worth half the money people are shelling out to produce it! I don't know how much it costs to run one new episode a month, but it would probably be worth it for everyone, especially the producers and actors, if they just started airing it on a weekly or even by-weekly ...

Pathetic attempt at parody

Wanting to present gaming console wars in an anime setting is one thing, making a terrible, absurd, badly acted and directed anime is another. If you could get to the parody it may be fun, but the terrible artistic sense of the creative team make sure you never get there.

The story is rushed, character development is nonexistent, and the episode release schedule is awful, if you plan to make people wait months for an episode at least make it an hour long, NOT as long as any ordinary anime

This is an anime that makes me feel like I am being insulted and as harsh as it may sound, everyone should be insulted by this anime. It is trying to purely rely on it's ecchi and parody of the old console wars. It doesn't even try a little to present characters that are interesting, nor attempt to develop these characters into something presentable. The over-arching story is nothing to marvel at, and to top it off it zips through anything you would consider plot. The first episode alone had 4-5 plot points that could have made an entire episode. If they had taken everything they squeezed in to the first episode and made it 5 or 6 episodes long I would say this would probably be an average anime, but that is just not the case. I NEED to be able to give this show a 0.

Those who have given this show a high rating fall into three predictable camps: those who like the ecchi scenes and those who defend it because it’s anime, and those who see the show as a self-referential parody. One need only look through Crunchyroll for the number of 5-star ratings to get a sense of how pervasive the first two camps of voters are. However, on the latter camp specifically, this facile defense of the show as parody borders on the comprehensible. Indeed, the show is clearly making use of the early console wars for inspiration and humor. Well this is all fine and good, but a bad show is still a bad show. If the developers intended to produce a torturously poor story, they succeeded. But as to parodying the console wars, there is nothing particularly insightful or funny. The "parody" remains firmly tethered to the lowest and most dismal common denominators of the period--making the show more a paragon of early console dreck than a parody.
Do yourself a favor and watch almost anything else. "Aoi Sekai" is not worth the investment of your time--not even as a mindless distraction.

I think it's really good but they should put more and faster new episodes. I think this anime have a lot of potential. I they should also make an manga of it, if their already have one, I haven't discover it so please tell me the link
