Somehow it is easily to sympathize with Lotte and think the mother/queen is horrible. But at times the queen has a huge responsibility that, even though she dislikes it and wants to be with her daughter, is forced to. Really unfortunate.

To be specific to viewers. the queen had both girls. One was the "dead" child. Due to Asuha being human she has characteristics of being a succubus (the no underwear gag). She is not afraid of doing anything inappropriate.
