It saddens me to watch the anime sometimes because I feel somewhat letdown after I read the manga. I had high hopes for this anime, but it just wasn't up to par with the amazing manga I know. If I watched the anime before I read the manga, I probably would have given the anime soaring ratings, but due to my disappointment of the anime adaption, I would have to rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

Storyline:
The storyline is genius! It's completely one of the greatest unique storylines in any manga/anime generation. I have yet to see an anime or manga that tops a baby + a demon lord + a badass school full of delinquents. If you want different, Beelzebub definitely offers that! To my disappointment, the anime adds so many fillers that aren't even seen in the manga. Although they are there for some more comedy, I believe that if they had stuck to the original storyline, this anime would have been a complete winner. I can understand if they're holding the anime off with fillers so the manga has a lot of time to keep on going, but the amount of fillers between each episode (with the storyline from the manga) is just too much. But still, the fight scenes are still pretty epic!
Music:
I find the music just simply average. The first opening somewhat annoyed me, but I felt like it did make an effort to blend in with Beelzebub's theme of having a baby on the show. I enjoyed the first ending and I found it very easy to listen to. I found the other opening and ending not very memorable, but not something I'd enjoy listening to every episode. I usually skip the openings and endings. The soundtrack during the episode fits the image very well. It suits the humor of the show and also the battle scenes.
Characters:
There are extremely unique characters in the series. As you can tell from my previous baby + demon lord + delinquents, you can see that the series is full of exciting characters. There's never a moment to snooze from the lack of boring characters. Every delinquent has a personality and every other character is bustling with life! The only problem I would have is how they portrayed Baby Beel in the anime. I found that they made his crying appear in almost every single episode. I absolutely love Beel in the manga, but I feel they made him more annoying in the anime. Whenever they had the chance, it seemed the anime storywriters planned to make Beel cry in every single episode. Besides that, I believe the voice actors suit the characters immensely! The perfect voice combination for all the characters in the anime.
Animation:
The animation looks pretty well done. It sticks to what the original Beelzebub art in the manga is. I have no problems with the animation since it's exactly how I thought it should look on the screen. Sure it's not cute or bubbly, but who would want that in a show with a baby + a demon lord + a badass school full of delinquents? The animation suits the storyline. The only problem that would have to bug me to pieces would be the animation in the second ending song. Just seeing Hilda and Aoi like that bothers me so much. It feels like they smothered Tamara Ryuhei's original art with cuteness or something along that line, and that just irks me! The normal animation for that ending would have been just fine with me, but I felt like they ruined the anime and that song with that portrayal of Hilda and Aoi.
Overall, I still believe that this is a MUST watch! If it sticks with the same Beelzebub plot as in the manga, I believe that the anime can still grow into something amazing. Hopefully, they'll lessen the amount of fillers and stick with Tamara Ryuhei's original storyline.
