Poor adaptation of Manga from Episode 10 (manga chp 20) onwards

I had to change my originally higher rating of the Anime from Episode 10 onwards which becomes all filler with no content from the manga whatsoever.( Ep 10 -15 all filler)

This is a big shame because the manga, which is now on Chapter 106, has in my opinion, the potential to have almost the same level of story quality as a super popular anime such as Bleach or Naruto + more humor. It is like ...

This is a big shame because the manga, which is now on Chapter 106, has in my opinion, the potential to have almost the same level of story quality as a super popular anime such as Bleach or Naruto + more humor. It is like watching your favorite novel being butchered by an inept studio production.When 1/3 of the first 16 episodes of the anime is filler, I think we have a problem.

We do return to the manga storyline in the latest episode 16 but even then it is messed up with unnecessary filler. For example in Episode 16, Aoi and Toujou do not appear in the manga and there is no reason for them to appear. The pool fight that occurs leaves the bad guys completely knocked out, in the anime they simply look like they have headaches.

The anime scriptwriters are definitely not of the same quality as the original mangaka unfortunately.

Nevertheless, the anime is still decent enough to rate a MUST WATCH.

But if you like the anime, read the manga it is so much more incredible especially as you reach the next few arcs. Anime Episode 9=Manga Chapter 20. Ep 16=Chapter 21, Manga currently on Chapter 106.

Watch Now, Baby Beel

You'd be a delinquent if you didn't watch this amazing anime!
It is classic shonen! The characters are amazing and its is very funny show!
I rated it a 4 star for story because we don't really have a story yet. i haven't read the manga but I assume its like Bleach how it just started with mini stories and then shifted into story arcs!

Guilty Pleasure...yeah!

Oh, why do I like this show? I mean, there is a naked baby throughout every episode that electrocutes you every time he cries. Its a quite fun and delightful series as you realize the main character who is Baby Beel's father is completely clueless when it comes to human interactions. It amazes me that he even has a best friend due to his lack of understanding verbal and physical cues from others ...

Oh, why do I like this show? I mean, there is a naked baby throughout every episode that electrocutes you every time he cries. It amazes me that he even has a best friend due to his lack of understanding verbal and physical cues from others unless they are in the form of violence. I have absolutely no idea where this bizarre story is going but I'm hanging on for the ride.

It Gets Better & Better

Beelzebub doesn't have a serious bone in its body. It's a fast-paced comedy of errors about a delinquent school boy, Oga, who is forced to raise a demon king. The first two episodes, although funny, heavily center around Oga trying to prevent baby Beel from crying and thereby electrocuting everyone around him. To me, the gag quickly wore thin, but the show whiplashed between so many colorful characters and zany situations that I could forgive this one (and only) stale joke. Overall, the story is unique, the characters, even though they're supposed to be punks are charming, and the show makes me laugh out loud. The writers know they have a great comedy on their hands and don't add any angsty layers to drag it down. Very recommended.

One side note: If you enjoy this series, then I strongly recommend you check out Ramen Fighter Miki. It's got the same wacky humor and face-paced writing. It's an under-appreciated comic gem.

An amazing anime. I recommend!

Extremely funny. The plot has to still develop, but it is going at a nice pace.
The baby is awesome. A unique and NOT CHEESY anime. It has action in it too, and some romance, so it's good for every anime fan.

This show is very unique

This show is so unique and the characters caught my eye pretty quick in the first episode. Baby Beel (Beelzebub) is ridiculously funny; zapping Oga when he cries. This show is a must watch, with all of the comedy and laughs involved, it is a great show for anyone.

Stay Away From Filler and We Have a Deal

I absolutely love this show, starting from episode 7 that is. It's good before that, but it isn't until after that horrible half filler episode six that things finally start picking up. As the story moves into the plot it can only get better, as long as they don't try to force the comedy more than necessary.

It's got great potential, and hopefully as more and more characters are introduced ...

It's got great potential, and hopefully as more and more characters are introduced the animators won't have to force comedy where it doesn't need to be forced.

HOOKED ON IT!!!!!!!!

I was hooked right after the first episode. It's hilarious! I f you've been watching the show then you know what I'm talking about but if you are a first timer then what are you doing here?!?!?!?!?!? Go watch it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand that maybe they having financial problems or it wasn't getting the views it needed. BUT THAT ENDING! I can't believe they did that, it was terrible. Not quite as bad as Tsubasa Chronicle but dang it's up there.

Well apart from that this was a hilarious and action packed anime to watch, the comedy, the fights, the characters, the unexpected and seemingly random plot twists, pus Oga's badass levels (Want proof? He's voiced by the same guy as Kamina) and I know that I say this a lot but the concept is ingenious.

I'm sure that you all know the story so I won't go into much detail, if you don't then watch the first episode or too and it's all explained. But here's just the base. A high school student looking to be the strongest man ever, gets stuck with a baby. Pretty generic right?
WRONG, the twist is that the baby is the son of the demon lord. And whenever he gets further than 15 meters away from Oga he sends out a lethal shock that would kill Oga.

And so begins this action-comedy.

Overall this anime is definitely on my watch list, just be prepared for that rushed ending. Which is a shame because the arc they cut it out at was easily the best arc of the manga so far. If you feel disappointed with the ending (like you should) then read the manga is my advice, you won't regret it.
