Well Made For Inaccuracy

Well for one this isn't too accurate to Christian belief, so try not to get offended when watching this. A story revolving arround Rin Okumura and his twin younger brother Yukio as they enter the True Cross Academy and the world of exorcism. Well for one this isn't too accurate to Christian belief, so try not to get offended when watching this. A story revolving arround Rin Okumura and his twin younger brother Yukio as they enter the True Cross Academy and the world of exorcism. When Yukio sets off for the academy Rin is assumedly left behind, and as he attempts for a job he sees small demons. Naturally he goes after it, leading him to another demon that knows of Rin's bloodline, the son of Satan himself. Being left in the dark all of his life, Rin is saved by the world's most powerful exorcist, Shiro Fujimoto, also his adoptive father. In the process Shiro explains this to Rin and tells him to never open aa blade called Kurikara, which held Rin's demon form and powers. Rin in an emotional state then replies in an undecent manner to Shiro. In doing so Shiro is possessed by Satan (Rin's father) and uses Shiro's body to try and drag Rin past Ghehenna's gate, when near his completion of the mission Shiro repossesses his body and stabs himself, leaving no vessel for Satan. At this point Rin is in a state of which he unsheathes the blade, releasing his power in order to save Shiro, to which in vain, too late. It is then Rin learns about the hidden world of exorcists his brother has already taken part of.

Worse than Satan himself.

I really don't judge anime that much (I have a lot of moe inside me) but really this anime is horrible the manga is pretty good (lke a 6/10) and this anime would be pretty good too, but they went this wierd direction with the battle against Satan waaay to early (Apparently Satan is really weak). I really wish that the went into the impure king arc. This show deserved to be cancelled.

This honestly would get a 5 star from me but the twists to the ending are laughably bad and predictable.

++Pros++
+++Badass Concept [A demon wants to be an exorcist, dope indeed]
++There were moments that actually felt really epic and exciting even for a shonen.
+MC wasn't a cliched idealistic fool except for maybe his naruto-like goal.

--Negs--
-last episodes get that rushed treatment ...

Great story about self, friendship, and brotherly love

Action pack-driven. Story was adequate. Characters and scenery are drawn beautifully. Memorable supporting characters. Very awesome ending. One of those anime where the storytelling was done right: present the main question of the story in the beginning then answer it in the end. No need of fillers and second seasons.

Blue Exorcist takes place in a modern city where women wear kimonos, curses are sealed in Japanese weapons, and where the respected high school director never looked so weird. And action? Don’t worry, there's a lot of this along with some good laughable parts! Rin Okumura, half-demon, half-human has now the challenge to train himself through a special exorcist training cram school while keeping his true identity a secret from his comrades. Can the son of Satan really become a real exorcist? Join us and find out by yourself !

A action-packed inspiring anime!

i have been a big fan of anime for 10 years and never had I found an anime as entertaining as it was meaningful until I watched Ao no Exorcist. The story revolves around Rin Okumura, a teenager possessing abnormal strength and endurance then later finds out he is the son of satan. His brother ,Yukio, is a full fledged exorcist who is incredibly skilled with a gun.
Together they must battle satan ...

i have been a big fan of anime for 10 years and never had I found an anime as entertaining as it was meaningful until I watched Ao no Exorcist. The story revolves around Rin Okumura, a teenager possessing abnormal strength and endurance then later finds out he is the son of satan. His brother ,Yukio, is a full fledged exorcist who is incredibly skilled with a gun.
Together they must battle satan and his "followers" and through it all Yukio and Rin gain new friendships and forge a great alliance against evil.
As I don't want to spoil the whole thing I will stop there. ANE has wonderful and fluid animation and an origianl story line. Each epsiode is interesting and hits all the high points of what we looks for. It has comedy, action, horror, fan service, drama, supernatural elements, guns, swords, monsters, pretty much you name it and ANE has it in it's 25 episodes.
ANE's Openings and endings are some of the most memorable and include some awesome music. Even featuring 2PM for one of the endings.
The characters are solid and likeable and each have their own background to them and are equally explored. Something you don't find alot in such a short series anime.
You'll be hooked in just one epsiode I promise! Check out ao no Exorcist and you'll see.

Meh... way too generic.

The animation and artwork is pretty good, and the music is great, but the story is just way too base. The fact that Rin is set up in a conflict with Satan, the ultimate evil, handicaps the series for 2 reasons: 1. The villain isn't that creative; 2. Since Satan is of course the most powerful evil being in existence in the story, it presents the problem with the amount of time they can drag this ...

Since Satan is of course the most powerful evil being in existence in the story, it presents the problem with the amount of time they can drag this conflict out. If Blue Exorcist pulls an InuYasha and painfully drags out the story until Rin finally beats Satan, then all it'll do is hurt the series. Not to mention the characters are way too generic with cliche shonen manga stereotypes strewn everywhere throughout the plot. Overall, this series is just way too overrated. I can already tell that its popularity is fleeting.

Over coming stereotypes

Well written and well drawn. Blue Exorcist is a great combination of Action and Relationships. It dose a wonderful job of blurring the lines of preconceived notions of right and wrong. One of the best parts is watching the main character Rin trying to over come stereotypes placed upon him by all sides; by those who know he is the son of Satan, and by those who just think he is getting special ...

Its a wonderful show that all should watch.

This Tv show is a hilarious, Intriguing show that has you sitting on the edge of your chair.. I found some parts quite sad and some parts putting me into hysterical laughter. The main Character Okumura Rin is a amazing anime Character. The way he changes peoples minds and the way he would die just protect his precious is truly amazing to fit this show. My Opinion he's HOT! Lol.

if you are a christian please don't hate on this anime... I loved it tough the manga was better the anime was good as well. For all the devil-hating people this anime does kind of tells us that Satan wasn't all bad because he was able to find love and such but my parents yelled and lectured me when they saw this saying "you shouldn't watch this it's the devil's work." like they always say to ...
