You need some Japanese culture and language to fully enjoy
These are short flash based animations. The jokes don't translate well into English making it an odd choice for a show to be subtitled. Based on the first two episodes the translation itself is fine.

If you understand or have an interest in the cultural divide between the Tokyo and Osaka areas and the different dialects it is worth watching. However, it is well worn topic and the show isn't ...

  • Wow, Crunchyroll is showing this extremely-esoteric-for-non-Japanese comedy!!
As I know Osaka, I LOLed, but most people won't understand it. It's very esoteric. Every Japanese says what's funniest about this is the ENDING, which is different for each episode. Especially the difficulty lies in "Tsukkomi", a reply to a joke, which doesn't even have a English Wikipedia entry despite the fact that it's critical for any Japanese comedy and manzai.

  • Short, funny, and a little interesting.
If you enjoy cultural differences, good music, and animated shorts, then check it out. This show isn't meant to be some amazing, serious anime, so I'm not going to review it like one. I usually take shows for what it's worth and this is no exception. So, if you like stupid jokes, good music, cultural differences, and animated shorts, give it a shot. However, if you are trying to find something in ...

This is a really fun show
This is a fun show. If you enjoy animted shorts, silly humor, and regional/cultural differences, then you'll enjoy this. The animation can be a little herky-jerky, but that just gives it a very limited-animation feel. Makes me a bit nostalgic.

I like it, thats how it is
The reason im giving this five stars is because im not going to be a huge douche and critic every little thing. OK look the art is not amazing and the stories are sort of stupidfunny the songs at the end are amazing, and I like it because it short at only 3 min. This to me was not made to be some super serious anime so I take it for what its worth a silly time killing anime that will grow on you.

    Worst Informational Program Ever
An informational show on accents with incestuous jokes thrown in and a horrible bathroom song added at the end basically sums up the entire first episode. I doubt the rest of the series is going to get any better than this cheesy mess. The girl's singing was probably the best part of the whole show and even that was lame. If you can learn anything from this, it'd be about Japanese culture and ...

  • Osaka-okan - Curious and Funny
When I first watched this show I thought I wouldn't care for it. By the third episode I was really enjoying it. The basic premise of the differences between Osaka and well, everywhere else, makes for a very curious show. I always crack up at the ending songs because they're just so random and offbeat. If you're looking for anything close to the average anime story then this show is NOT for you. ...

    Why is this on Crunchyroll?
This short, low budget anime is about an average highschool boy’s little sister from Osaka coming back to live with him after 10 years apart. Sounds like an interesting plot but don’t get your hopes up.

From appearance this looks as if its a slapstick comedy about a little sister trying to make passes at her brother, putting them in many wacky and awkward situations. I was disappointed to find ...
