    Couldn't stop watching
I thought this series was fantastic.
After spending the past week or so trying to get through another series (Campione!), I needed something new. A recommendation from a friend saw me looking into this, and I am truly grateful to have come across it.

This is fantastic series. It can be very dark and deep, with the story following the emotions and thoughts of the characters and the hardships ...

    "Damn, I liked BTOOM!"
I said that too myself several times for a few days. I had no intentions of even watching this anime. The title alone is stupid. BTOOM!, boom with a 't' and exclamation mark? ooookay. However I made a pact to watch at least 1 episode of every new anime Fall 2012 season. Like a few other animes I didn't expect to like BTOOM! got me hooked. The premise is outstanding. If there's someone in ...

    pure awesomness!!!!!!
The following review DOES NOT contain any spoilers.

    Story: 10
Btooom! follows 22 year old protagonist, Ryōta Sakamoto. Ryōta is one of the world's best Btoom players, an online multiplayer where the objective is to seek out and destroy your opponents using BIMS (bombs). However, after being kidnapped and transported to a secluded island, he is forced to play the game for real.

    The story ...

Btooom: It's Time to Play the Game
That feeling when you get when you realized your life is now fucked up, turned from virtual fun into a bloody reality, and your only chance to survive is to trust in no one (I mean it here) but yourself. With only your disposal – a package of bombs, a strange gem on your hand, and your own intuition, you realize that your life has been changed forever with your new life now residing on a strange ...

    AWESOME show, freaking love it!
This is exactly the show I've been waiting for to fill the void left after Deadman Wonderland! It even mixes in one of my other favorite shows "Sword Art Online" with the whole game concept affecting reality.

Great anime showcases violence, insane characters, and a cool scenario
Badass pretty much sums this up. Don't write it off till there are at least 7 or so episodes. It takes time to set up complex characters with messed up backgrounds. It's a dark anime with gore, sexual event, and etc. don't watch it if you are not into anime with that. I look forward to more episodes.

    Btooom!? 100% Recommend!
Holy smokes! As a lover of both anime and dystopian universes I have to say I would definitely suggest anyone similarly interested give Btooom! a try. I put this on as just a means to pass the time and right away realized I couldn't watch just one episode. I wound up finishing all twelve episodes much sooner than expected and still wanted more. There's a wealth of backstory that doesn't seem ...

4.5 Stars - A Great Anime That Deserves More Attention
    Storyline 4.5/5
This story is an amazing piece of work that shows how struggling for survival can bring out one's true nature. I liked the whole idea; putting hated people on an isolated island and have they kill each other using the game play of an actual game. Seems cliche, but entertaining. At first, I thought the concept of only having bombs as weapons were boring. But after seeing a ...

    Btooom was Fantastic
I thought Btooom was an amazing anime I really liked the concept. I liked that the storyline though basic, really showed what people are capable of when they feel pushed into a corner. Instead of sticking together the people gathered on the island did as they had been told and it became a dog eat dog world where everyone was for themselves with constant betrayal between other players, which I ...

    Watch out for sexual themes
I came in watching the show expecting it to be rather action-y. However, it has more of a drama-type feel with some very adult themes. For example, the girl on the right of the poster-thing has been attempted to be raped, twice. The second time you actually see the guy rip her shirt off and bite on her breasts and stuff (this didn't seem to be fanservice as it wasn't portrayed in a "sexy" way at ...
