Great show but too abrupt of an ending
I never read the manga but saw the description of this show and gave it a try. It was definitely well worth my time.

The storyline is great and has interesting character development, but just the overall way the show abruptly ended (and I can understand why) just left me with an empty feeling.

    Overall very good show 8/10.

    Btooom!? 100% Recommend!
Holy smokes! As a lover of both anime and dystopian universes I have to say I would definitely suggest anyone similarly interested give Btooom! a try. I put this on as just a means to pass the time and right away realized I couldn't watch just one episode. I wound up finishing all twelve episodes much sooner than expected and still wanted more. There's a wealth of backstory that doesn't seem ...

    Btooom was Fantastic
I thought Btooom was an amazing anime I really liked the concept. I liked that the storyline though basic, really showed what people are capable of when they feel pushed into a corner. Instead of sticking together the people gathered on the island did as they had been told and it became a dog eat dog world where everyone was for themselves with constant betrayal between other players, which I ...

    Watch out for sexual themes
I came in watching the show expecting it to be rather action-y. However, it has more of a drama-type feel with some very adult themes. For example, the girl on the right of the poster-thing has been attempted to be raped, twice. The second time you actually see the guy rip her shirt off and bite on her breasts and stuff (this didn't seem to be fanservice as it wasn't portrayed in a "sexy" way at ...

Addictive like an exceptional video game
This was one of my favourite animes of recent times. From the first episode it had me hooked and pulled me along into its universe.

It starts out with the old cliché of protagonist amnesia. In fairness a good reason is given for this later on. A young man awakens in a jungle hanging from the trees with no idea how he got there. He stumbles about looking for help and slowly starts to realize the ...

Loved this anime and watched it all in one setting!!
Slight Spoiler alert, I won't add any specific details of the anime, but will compare it to a few things that I have seen. I'll keep spoils to a minimum. :D

This anime reminds me of a movie Ive seen, Battle Royal. In the movie a bunch of students were brought to an island and told the last one standing wins and gets to leave and they are forced to kill one another. Each student ...

Not really what you think it is
Having watched a few series before this, this show reminds me of Gantz + Deathnote + Battle Royal = but the best aspects of each series.

I walked into this show thinking, okay its an anime about a video game and that was probably one of the biggest sucker punches I have seen in the intustry.

As it is so much more about video games, there is relationships and really deep theames that our ...

    Wonderful Story...Wish there was More!
Btooom! will scratch that SAO/ Accel World itch, while speaking to some deeply mature themes around survival, sex and loss. While, I very much enjoyed the episodes available, Btooom! ends so abruptly that I would caution getting too attached to the characters or story.
