  • Explosions, Deception, Great Characters
To keep this review short and sweet If you like the following three things, chances are you'll enjoy this anime

    -Explosions
    -Psychology
    -Strategy

Besides that i honestly feel it captures the types of personalities that would appear in this type of predicament, and that is usually hard to capture.

  • Excellent But Unfinished
This show has a lot going for it. It stars believable (although painfully naive) characters. The animation is top notch. The music and sound design is great. And the premise/core story hook of the show, is well executed and done in such a way that it stands out amongst all the other "Trapped in a Game" shows out there.
The only problem I have with the show is that it leaves off on a cliff hanger ...

  • Severely Underrated ~ Amazing!
I absolutely loved Btooom! It is the first anime that I've been able to get my boyfriend to watch all the way through with me (probably because it's bad ass). There is intense action, solid story line, romance, and gore.
*Spoiler alert* kind of. There is portrayal (you can assume) and attempted rape. The manga is much more graphic. If this disturbs you I would second guess this anime since ...

  • BTOOOM! Serious stuff.
    Btooom! 12 episodes

What lies beneath the societal masks of the people we see around us? What happens when law, social behavioral expectations, and the enforcement of these social requirements no longer exist? What if personal survival depends on cold, sometimes calculated, murderous actions: kill or be killed? BTOOOM! paints a very grim picture of human ...

  • Blown away by the story *__*
Wow, I got to say I'm blown away by shows published by Showgate.
I'm surpiced there is no follow up of this "yet"?

From the moment I can hear the intro to the part where the episode ends I completly loose myself in the world of BTOOOM!
There are a few scenes where the art style seems a bit lacking, but overall its so nice to see how they did this.

This kind of reminds me of movies/books ...

  • Damn! that was unexpectedly awesome!
    Damn! that was unexpectedly awesome!

Very interesting show that kept me glued to the pc again for a day :o

Combat was not just full action but had strategy and brains involved. The relationship between the two main characters was classy and relatable.

Second season I sure hope so! now I have to go check if there's a manga

  • Needs a Season 2 please!
I went into BTOOM! expecting just some bland action anime with an absurd premise to fill my time. I was rather stunned to find the combination of mature story lines and human drama to be found within. One of the rare shows that got better as it goes on!

  • Really worth the time to watch!!
The story is very in depth for each individual that gets introduced into the anime. Its very addicting to watch and you get to understand the situations and actions of the characters when they do certain things as it is usually explained, instead of it being one of those, 'Oh hey this is why it worked' in the end type notions. The characters really do grow on you! Its worth giving it a chance. The ...

  • Very fresh and amazing
More than just some kid at a high school. It's better than you would expect with decent amount of gore and excitement in each episode. You'd would expect this to be similar to SAO or overlord but it is not what you would expect. This is really good for a late night binge but it is also not too long. 10/10

  • Brilliant and underated!
This anime is often compared to Sword Art Online due to having a similar concept. Basically, the series revolves around a group of people who play the online game Btooom! but then end up being transported to a deserted island and forced to play the game for real.

Straight away, you can sympathise with the characters far more than the characters of SAO because they are trapped in a death game, ...
