  • What I thought about this anime.
After watching the first episode I was pulled in. Ryōta Sakamoto is one of the players of BTOOOM!, the video game. He along with several others are put into a real life version of the game. On a tropical island in the middle of nowhere, you can see the insanity unfold as the players try to survive each other. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves insanity and doesn't mind blood. There is ...

    Studio Madhouse does it again!
I originally wrote this on my MAL. Im re-posting it here with better grammar and other shenanigens. Enjoy~ :3

Among the Fall 2012 anime list's gleaming gems is Btooom!, the seinen manga adaptation done by Madhouse Studios.

    Story: 6
The story is fairly decent with its battle royale format. The pacing never gets too slow or too fast, and feels "just right" for a 1 cour show.
    HOWEVER, the ...

Well Written Mature Version of SAO
I love SAO, don't get me wrong. But this Anime just fills that no non-sense straight forward serious drama niche. And it does it well. If your a fan of SAO and the whole 'stuck in game' genre that's popping up, this Anime is for you.

    The price of survival
Btooom! starts with a well worn premise: a random group of individuals are torn from their normal lives and forced to play a game to the death. It's a concept that has been reused endlessly in SF novels and movies for decades, with Battle Royale, The Hunger Games and The Running Man being some of the more famous examples. The twist added here is that the rules are based on a video game at which ...

  • 10 out of 10 absolutely amazing
This anime is amazing, there is not much else to say. If you want a good psycho thriller/drama, you need look no further. I have not read the manga yet so I have no basis for comparison, but I am going to order it very soon. The season finale gave me chills and I am looking forward to more!

i love this anime its giving me the chills!
I love this anime so much that I pretty much watched it and over again. The ending gives you a heads up. Ryuuta's dad is definitely going to the island. But I'm guessing everyone thought of the same tactic? Hijack the helicopter? Something bad is gonna happen and its gonna be up to ryuuta To fix all this

  • Truly original story
The art is very good, almost between comic/manga blend, with a solid story, that doesn't confuse the viewer. The ending was a little disappointing, I'm sure there will be more to come? I haven't been into anime, for a long time, this series has got me back on the anime wagon, so I thank the creators of this series

    Battle Royale with Bombs
This isn't the greatest anime ever. In fact, it's not even close. However, if you liked Battle Royale or Highschool of the Dead you will definitely enjoy this anime. Personally, I found it a little slow to start and very predictable.
The story is nothing new: a seemingly random group of people are left on an island with various weapons (well, bombs) and told to kill each other. The ...

    A truly different story.
This anime sits in my que so I can periodically wish more episodes onto it.

I have a rule, maybe some of you use the same rule...If its less than 24 episodes I generally skip it. Theres nothing more dissapointing than finding a good show only to have it never finish.

Well, from my reading this one is coming back, and even if it doesn't I predict you will greatly enjoy what is here if you ...
