In the OVA Arcadia of my Youth we se Harlock's origin and hw he lost the eye, sadly they changed some stuff continuitywise but its still great. I feel happy watching this.

Captain Harlock is as good as Star Trek, Stargate & BattleStar Galactica. This series has a good leader, crew teamwork, cool technology and great battle scenes. The on-going stories make this a great series to watch and most of all enjoy.
