The next big anime card game after yugioh

Unlike the older yugioh episodes, Cardfight Vanguard emulates the actual rules and decks of the card game in the show. I always thought it was annoying to see Kaiba summon like 3 blue eyes white dragons in one turn without any tribute or special summon. Like nothing they did in the show would pertain to the actual card game. But if you are or were a Yugioh fan and are looking for a new card game to play, this series is just for you. Just watching the first few episodes will teach you about 90% of the game and as you watch more, you can see the different advantages each clan has and develop ideas for your own deck just from watching the show. The card game can be really epic at times especially with "drive triggers" which is something I've never seen in any other card game. Check out the game and show, because this will be the next yugioh once players start quitting yugioh because Konami keeps banning cards that wont make them money anymore.

cardfight vandguard is a good show and most of the characters are explained well and well thought out. The whole storyline so far seems patchy at points though. The whole heart of the cards is very cliche but does work for this show. overall i would recommend this to anyone that likes a card series anime.

Once of those rare anime's that start off good and just gets better!! a tad bit like Yu-Gi-Oh but has it's own feel to it, but fingers crossed that unlike yu-gi-oh it'll know where to stop to keep it's self from getting bland

Stand up, the Vanguard!

Overall - This anime has it's own unique style. Not like Yu-Gi-Oh , Duel Masters, Beyblade at all! I find the game easy and less complex to understand, even noobs could figure it out! xD Anyways, the drawings fit my taste, I don't know about you guys, but I'm not a fan of super old anime drawings. What I like most of all is that it seems like a relaxing anime, even though it's about a card game, it has a bit of Slice of Life, which not every card game anime has.

Storyline - So far it's great! I like how it keeps you captivated because it sure makes me want Friday! This anime gets me captivated to play the card game sooo mucho and it's relatively simple and clean. Not sure what you think about it though! :3

Character - I love how the characters develop and evolve over time, especially Aichi. Even though he's not the best, he still tries his hardest to face his rival. Unlike how other animes, which the main character is a super duper pro at it..*cough cough Yugi*. Not only that, but even though it has the usual "my parents died" background to them, even though most animes have them. But some characters don't have a clear background of all, so they make it up by showing their personalities (Kamui xD)!

Music - The music is relatively okay, in my opinion, more lively and "full of life". I like how they play them at the right time and it heightens my excitement! LIKE FRIGGIN ROLLERCOASTER!! xD Lol! I'm currently typing this as I listen to Episode 38 of Cardfight!! Vangaurd. :P

Animation - The animation suits my taste, not like those really old looking ones like the first Hunter x Hunter (I'm not saying I hate HunterxHunter! ) . It really shows how the Vanguards/ Units attack while playing epic anime music. Wouldn't you agree?! ^.^ The artwork is amazing as well, it shows detailed Units as well as characters.

***This anime shows great promise! <3 ***

Now givin i did just finish ep 5 so i probly should have waited befor i wrote this review and watched some more. i think that the animation has an old rustic look which i love. but i have to say overall this show isnt bad but its not great either.

Vanguard is very much alike to YGO. But they are their own shows in many ways. Someone reviewed and said that unlike Yu-Gi-Oh! the main character doesn't win all the time, which is very true. Unlike Yu-Gi-Oh!, Vanguard doesn't really have that many female duelists. The storyline has a few twists and turns in it which makes it fun and exciting. There are cards that you would never imagine and characters are pretty cool, too. I hope it comes out in the USA very soon.

A funny tricky game!

The anime is fun to view, characters are basics, like the story. But the game, is... a trick.
Thought the anime show that only Triggers in drive, and damage check let you won a game : it's in fact, the trick of the game.
Some rules are not shown for that game, and it's for that some players are in here : Suzugamori Ren, Kai, and Asaka.
All of the three doesn't see the game like other players, that's the only difference between them, and the other characters.
They know where are the tricks that rules didn't say, and only players should be skilled to overview the rules.
An animation like yugioh, but a game like no other one : it seems that a game like, so easy to understand, is only the impression we can have on it. The music is funny, and the show turns like we can predict on. Just the fact that : the main characters won't won every time !

Aichi is my favorite character in the series so far. I love his Royal Paladin deck. My favorite card from the deck is stardust trumpeter
