  • It really Blue my mind
Catblue Dynamite is a series you'll either love or hate. If you're a fan of 1970s comedic crime movies and catgirls like me, then this series is right up your alley. If not, well, this series may not be your cup of tea. The plot itself is pretty hilarious, and in many ways, nonsensical, yet the characters and situations are handled in a way that keeps things entertaining. Voice work is actally ...

    Setting Back Animation
Primitive CGI, dubbing and story. If it's seen as someone's Second Life attempt to put together an animated series, this might just work. As it stands, I'd prefer watching something done live-action, or hand-drawn, once a more vibrant script were pulled together from the one that was used.

    Seems like a tech demo.
If you watch this as a technical demo, it becomes more enjoyable. Otherwise it's cheesy. The thing I wondered while watching it was whether they used an existing engine or not? It seems rather plug-and-play, so I assume it wasn't built in-house. I kinda want one of the henchmen's masks, though.

  • Loved it and hated it.
Not bad, but could have been so much better. Voice work was horrible. Even parts of the script could have been written better. It sounded so forced and fake. Some of the sound effects were poor as well. It's like they got 2/3 of the way done with it and just decided to throw it all together and call it good. I really liked the concept and the storyline. The graphics were nice too. I know they were ...

  • THis was not a good show
really really crappy 3d graphics. That's what this show reminds me of. Then it reminds me of really really bad dialogue. the writing might be ok, but it would be hard to tell through the really really bad acting. It's like taking clips from completely different conversations and stringing them together to make coherent sentences. It grates on the brain. Bad Blue Bad For You!

Would have been better in subtitles
The voice acting was atrocious and the music was invasive. It is regrettable that the subtitled version is not available I imagine it to be much better than the dubed version.
The main character Cat was intriguing, I would enjoy seeing a continuation of this series if it were subtitled.

    Cries out for a remake.
    Positives:
The art is fantastic. Backgrounds are detailed, gritty as they should be. Character designs are gorgeous.
The characters could power an OVA or series. The story has references that could be expanded into all sorts of directions.
    Fight scene choreography is great.

    Negatives:
The character animation was done either with rotoscoping or something very similar. The characters ...

    Catblue is Dy-no-mite!
What starts off seeming to be a weakly animated CGI 70's crime drama, turns into an all out anime cat-fight that Quinten Tarentino wishes he thought of!

I have to admit when I started watching, I wasn't expecting much. The voice acting was a little on the weak side, I suspect due to directing. But my patience paid off. The story combines the 70's crime drama with the anime elements of a ...
