    Chihayafuru Review!!
This anime may start out with an incredibly slow pace, but if one sticks with it, it is an amazing series to watch. The best thing about this anime is the fact that it develops over time, especially with each and every one of its large cast of characters. I highly recommend others to watch Chihayafuru for three reasons: the characters, the animation, and the experience of watching karuta itself. ...

    Now The Flower Blooms
TL;DR: Emotional, sportsy, fun. Kind of slow pace. Worth the watch/stick with it.

I did not start Chihayafuru until the very end of the first season. Initially I thought it seemed kind of lame according to the summary. I don't watch "sports" animes and this seemed like that. When I started hearing from a lot of people that it was one of the best shows of that season I changed my mind and gave ...

    chihayafuru review 5 stars
if you like hikaru no go, you will most likely like this.
there are some more shoujo elements, meaning relationship stuff, but it's not so much that it detracts from the story.

fascinating to learn about how to play this game, since it never occurred to me that there'd be competitions for it!

Quality is what Chihayafuru is all about.
I have to admit that when I started to watch this show, I was not expecting it to be this good. Chihayafuru was, maybe (at least for me), the most constantly good show from Oct '11 to March '12 (tied with Mirai Nikki). Chihayafuru does an outstanding job of teaching the viewers the game of "karuta", and, more amazingly, it makes it really entertaining. The show gives an excellent written story of ...

A Not So Quick Handed Reaction
I admit, I was compelled to join those who had written a review after first episode or two. However, I felt that it would not do the series justice by writing one so early and having to revise it a few times. Now that at the time of this review, the eleventh episode was released for subscription members. I feel that I can give a better opinion than if I wrote one on the first episode or two. ...

It's my number one favorite anime and you NEED to watch it!
oh my word where do i even begin????
characters. every single one of them is relevant. doesn't matter how small a part they play, they all have dreams and feelings which the anime makes a point of showing.they are extremely relatable too, dealing with feelings of incompetence and other emotions that we all struggle with.
The game itself. Its very intense and exciting and dramatic ...

GREAT STORY! Deep & Passionate Emotions!
I watched this anime to of curiosity,, because I like poems I got deeply attached with the story as well, like Chihaya (the heroin) fell in love with Arata since they were young because of the game. Little did she know that his other childhood friend, tai chi is in love with her and is doing his best to match up with Arata's skills just so Chihaya would notice him. On top of that, this anime made ...
