    Truly One of the Best
Who would've thought that watching an anime about a card game could be so great
Chihayafuru is charming and pleasantly heartfelt. What I love about the series besides the fantastic characters is how the storyline unfolds perfectly. There's emphasis on how the characters develop into genuinely interesting and unique personalities. It keeps you in suspense as the characters' romantic overtones and ...

Great for those wanting to learn more about Japanese culture.
Before Chihayafuru, Karuta was a game that was almost completely unknown outside of Japan. I typically stay away from shows like this, even if it's based on real games (ex. Hikaru no Go), but this show is different. I've watched the first 50 episodes that have been released to this point, and it looks like it may be another year or so before/if we get Chihayafuru 3 since the manga is not that far ...

    Chihayafuru Review!!
This anime may start out with an incredibly slow pace, but if one sticks with it, it is an amazing series to watch. The best thing about this anime is the fact that it develops over time, especially with each and every one of its large cast of characters. I highly recommend others to watch Chihayafuru for three reasons: the characters, the animation, and the experience of watching karuta itself. ...

    Recommend for anyone human.
Chihayafuru is an amazing series. From the music to the art, and then to the storyline. I never thought that an anime would make me want to play a cardgame based on Japanese poetry so much, but there you go. I definitely recommend Chihayafuru for anyone human. I cannot think of a single person who wouldn't enjoy it ^_^

    Now The Flower Blooms
TL;DR: Emotional, sportsy, fun. Kind of slow pace. Worth the watch/stick with it.

I did not start Chihayafuru until the very end of the first season. Initially I thought it seemed kind of lame according to the summary. I don't watch "sports" animes and this seemed like that. When I started hearing from a lot of people that it was one of the best shows of that season I changed my mind and gave ...

    Addicting Story! Love it
So I was a dork and watched SEASON 2 first because I totally didn't notice the drop down section for season 1. With that said, it didn't matter. The story is amazing! I zoomed through S1 in 2 days.

I love this anime so much~!
I love this anime so much! It's my perfect type of anime. All the characters are awesome and this anime just keeps me at the edge of my chair. Let me tell you, seven days have never felt so long. It even has some sort of love triangle between Chihaya, Taichi, and Arata.

    Amazing and Addicting
I tend to lean towards romantic high school anime without all the sport action like Toradora. But this is amazing! It has the right blend of action, romance, laughs, and suspense. You'll watch a 20 min. episode and wish it was longer! The characters all develop really well, and you find yourself rooting for your favorite member when watching. It is addicting.

    Repetitiveness is over 9000!!!
Chihaya had a fun personality that drew me into the show. I was expecting more of a slice and life(emotional show) from what the first few episodes looked like but than later on it seemed like the Author was just trying to convince people to play karuta more than anything. Pretty intense watching them flips card for the 1st season but it gets kinda old when your trying to drag it on for 3+ ...
