    I really enjoyed this anime
I really hope they will have a second season. This anime is great if you want to watch a love, funny and game-type of anime. I don't see Chihaya with neither Arata nor Taichi, though I'd like to. She seems more in love with karuta than anything else.

    Love their determination!!!
This show was good in a awkward kind of way. Chihaya is very airheaded, but she has the determination of a bull LOL. I LOVE TAICHI !!!!!!!!!!!!!! everybody is saying who they want to go together. like taichi or chihaya or arata and chihaya. For me it would definetly be taichi and chihaya. They've known each other for the longest and they have more chemistry, well to taichi they do. its kind of a ...

Anime with card game and friendship...
    Yu-Gi-Oh, anyone?

Joking aside, I was rather surprised that how the author managed to make a card game into something with depth by explaining the game's advanced tactics, as well as its attachments to Japanese literature, without having to leave the audience the feeling of being left out. Though using high school as the setting has been over-done especially in recent anime, I was quite ...

    Charming, Nostalgic and Inspiring
Karuta is an elegant and meaningful game and I'm glad that Chihayafuru has brought it into the limelight. I haven't felt this way since Hikaru no Go, and I am especially glad to have a possible love story play out in the background. The characters are great to watch as they grow and train. So bittersweet!

Surprised me with how good it is
This may be one of the best slice of life "let's make a high school club!" anime that I've ever seen.

It took me a long time to dredge up the motivation to start an anime that is about a niche Japanese card game that I've never played and will never play, but this one is really about the characters first and foremost. The game in question has simple enough rules that I can easily follow ...

    Makes me wanna play!
I loved Chihaya Furu from beginning to end. I can't believe how into the kurata matches I became. I loved the animation. It was "soft," but fit the dreamlike state and mindset of the lead character, Chihaya, and her ability to pull people in. The writing is very good. The characters were written with great care and chemistry which was expressed exceptionally well by the actors. The only ...

    I wish to see more!!
I really like this anime. The story is nice, the sport they play is unique, and love the drawings and graphics! Another season please because I'm dying to see what's gonna happen next! I mean it hasn't determine who will Chihaya end up with!

    Disappointed with season 2
Season 1 is one of my top 10 favorite animes so I eagerly waited for season 2, but it turned out to be a disappointment.

Technical quality (graphics, animation, voice acting) are consistent with season 1, but the story....well there is almost no story. It is just one match after another without character development or twist. After episode 14 or 15 I did not bother watching any more.
