The Chu-Chaos: Days of the Underwear

The way I see things, this anime doesn't have a decent enough storyline, mostly because I'm not grasping the whole "underwears protect your body" thing, which is basically the main point of the anime, that and underwears seen as a sex object. I could have given the storyline a 3.5 but since it has interesting ways to educate about developing female bodies and how it's important to choose the right underwear, i gave it a 4. In a way, this anime is actually very educational, ecchi, but at the same time educational. To be honest, I moderately like the opening, it's not my favorite, but it's catchy enough to not annoy the heck outta me! I like the characters, to be honest! Oh, if you're reading this, make sure you watch the series before reading this spoiler!!

Animation is consistant and shows plenty of humor, at the same time, provides lots of fanservice even though the characters are only in 7th grade!! A series suggested to young developing girls...and maybe pedophiles. ^^ "

Nayu Hayama Voiced by: Minori Chihara
The protagonist of the story, who also acts as an 'underwear monitor'. She takes keen interest in underwear research. As a result, she is pretty shameless when it comes to her underwear, or anyone else's for that matter. Determined to inform people about the necessities of underwear, she forms the Underwear Appreciation Society.
Yako Jingūji Voiced by: Minako Kotobuki
A petite girl with a generally fierce composure. She prefers to keep a tough image, and has a hard time admitting embarrassing things.
Haruka Shiraishi Voiced by: Sayuri Yahagi
A busty girl and Yako's best friend. She often has trouble with boys because of them mocking her breasts. Presumed to be a lesbian with a crush on Nayu.
Hiroki Komachi Voiced by: Yuudai Satou
A boy who easily gets embarrassed at the sight of underwear. He has a one-sided rivalry with Nayu on school grades as he always ends up being second to her. He seems to have a small crush on her.
Kiyono Amahara Voiced by: Yōko Hikasa
A girl from a rich family who seems to be rather knowledgeable about the seedier side of underwear, and looks down upon Nayu for her naivety.
Tamaki Mizuno Voiced by: Sayaka Ohara
A teacher at Nayu's school who becomes the adviser of the Underwear Appreciation Society. She is generally nervous, but admires Nayu for giving her courage. She seems to have a crush on Keigo, who was her senpai in high school.
Keigo Hayama Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai
Nayu's step-brother who has been looking after her since their parents died. He works as an underwear designer and often gets Nayu to test out his latest products.

I hope this review helps a bit. Thanks for reading!! ~_^

Out of all the random animes that i've seen in my 10 years of being an Otaku i've never seen something as weird as this show. The whole storyline(episodes 1-2) is about a girl, Nayu, who is in 7th grade and has been notorious among those who've been with her since elementary school for wearing "naughty" underwear, and expresses her passion for it with two other girls, Haruka and Yako.

Honestly, I feel a bit weird how I'm watching AND enjoying a show where it centers around underwear, and the fact that the main characters are around 12-13 years old doesn't help .....Anyways it's very funny, and is even very informative(I've learned more about the developing female body from this show than I did in Health class >_>)

All in all, If you're looking for a show that has quite a bit of fan service and comedy then this is a show for you

After actually watching this anime I can safely say I actually did learn something. You may think that you would only watch this for "boobs" but I did actually learn the other side of female clothing. Rather strange at first but very enjoyable ounce you get into it!

Cute and all but missing something

The storyline is kind of interesting and the characters are easily likable but the series is short and leaves a lot out. Some major plot points are left unfinished and while normally I would be ok with that, I mean life doesn't leave you with closure all the time, they seem to by huge dead holes. It is s short series and rather interesting; the whole thing revolves around bras and a little girls dead grandmother and the protective qualities they share... yeah I know doesn't sound like it makes sense but it is worth the short watch.

This is my first review for Crunchyroll that I have ever done. You can also check out some reviews that I have done over at Anime-Planet.
It looks like there is a writing limitation. So i'll keep it brief. No pun intended. Chu Bra is cute little school-life comedy with more than just drizzles of Echhi. For any male who stumbles across this title, do not fear. It has a nice uncomplicated storyline. You can learn a lot about the female body and how to start taking care of it. Females, rejoice! When you can put aside its Echhi undertones this seems to be an anime that should be shown in health class. Music is light and pop. The star voices also delight us with opening theme and its closing theme as well. Characters have many similar crisises just like any school drama but each character is quite distinct and enjoyable to watch. Animation is very run of the mill yet colorful. If you have any questions, going through puberty yourself, or becoming quite the otaku. Than enjoy all the Pantsu, Pantsu, Pantsu!

It was cute, funny, racy, hilarious, just plain side splitting good old laugh!!!! I loved the characters, even the guy's. I would have like to see more of her grandmother but she had such and influence on so many young ladies life's especially the main character. Totally worth watching again!!!

I have watched all most every episode and so I believe Chu Bra is a really great show. No not because it has girls in the show. But because of the funny that is in the show. I think it is a very funny show and the best show to watch for comedy so my review is a 5 star rating. So keep up the good work. But the only thing Id wish you'd do is make a remix of the show in English where the show is the same but the only thing that would be different is the language would be in English. Well thank you for listening

sincerely your friend

I found this series added a touch of education, humour, fun, to the subject of undergarments which the soceity was about in the high school
club that the students formed. The characters brought their own different personalities to the show which then dominoed throughout the storyline which developed through the episodes.

I would recommend this to people thinking from a point of fun and humour as it does look at underwear that way.

have fun if you do!

Chu-Bra is not an action ecchi. This is (sort of) more of a slice-of-life ecchi about girls who are "coming of age". It also manages to be educational, and the characters come across more human than most females in an ecchi tend to do.

They're just normal, every day girls dealing with normal every day things.. in a not-so-normal every day school club. As long as you're not expecting anything more than that then you probably won't be disappointed with this one.

Oh, and yes. I learned a lot about underwear from this anime. ;D
