  • Thrilling and different
A truly enjoyable series that leaves you wanting more.
Great original characters and a twist on the standard shy boy-girl story.
    Grade A rewatchable.

  • I love Durarara!! The best anime ever!!!
I personally liked the series. However, the plot was very slow. It took forever to get to the point. Aside from that, I liked how humorous some scenes were. (There was some funny scenes here-and-there.) I liked the characters(my favs are Masaomi, Shizou, Celty and Izaya), the genres (I liked the fact it wasn't just one genre; it had multiple genres), the plot (again it was too slow get to the ...

  • Not Like Anything Else - 5 Stars!
To be honest, I didn't expect much out of this series. I was extremely surprised by how hooked I got to it. This series isn't what you'd consider your "normal" anime series. There are many plot twists and mysteries to uncover with the characters. Each episode explores a different character's perspective on the events happening and over time you see how one event can effect many people's lives. It ...

  • One of the best ever
I have always like complex, serious shows that have humor. This sounds like an odd mix, but it works really well. The story has a depth to it that will draw you in and leave you wanting more. However, there are small quirks to the show that catch you unawares and you find yourself cracking up before you even realize what just happened.

A MUST WATCH (if you like complex stories with serious ...

  • Excellent anime series
This is such an excellent show. The pacing is near perfect and the animation style is rather interesting. A must watch for all, even if the story is a bit mature. The character development is on par with the greats.

  • An amazing anime that explores the connections in the lives of the characters
Now, I have heard of this anime before on CR through forums and so because of that, I put it in my to watch list. I've recently finished up the 24 ep anime + the 2 bonus eps (one between ep 12 and 13 and the special ep 25). I approached this anime skeptically, I didn't want to say that I was hyped by what others have said before, so that I can make a good judgement of it on my own terms. All in ...

Amazing!! In love with the series~!
DRRR!! Is one of my top five anime series. The story line is easy to follow, all of the characters are likable. Plus, the story can actually relate to reality, such as realistic hair colors, the setting being an actual place, and the characters being mixed cultures. You don't see anime every day that can actually pull that off.

Many female anime fans dislike characters with big ...

  • Completely Amazing! (:
I loved this right from the beginning (: As you watch everything happening in the background of the main characters slowly ties in with them. It has a great story line and I absolutely loved the characters (: This is DEFINITELY worth watching (:

    "Ikebukuro's Finest."
-- It all started with a bored teenager looking for an exciting life.
He looked in the right place.

Durarara!! begins in the entertainment district of Ikebukuro & the story revolves around each of the colorful characters inhabiting it & their histories intermingling with one another.

Mikado Ryugamine, arrives from the countryside, tired of his typical life, to follow ...

It has been a while since an anime like this has caught my attention.
All I can say is that the animation effects were wonderful and the voice actors in Japanese did a great job as well, but off course that's not what makes Durarara captivating. In this anime I believe each character has a soul, everyone is unique and full of life, the anime represents a clash between culture and social structure, in this world of Durarara it shows how small our world can be, ...
