  • Sleek, Cool, and Creative
Durarara!! is great. Absolutely great. I won't try to sum up the story, or the main characters, as there's so much going on with so many people. I've written and backspaced about three paragraphs worth of descriptions regarding characters, plotlines, etc. I can't do it. All I will say is the show weaves the stories of each character together in a way that is clever, natural, and it leaves each ...

  • Perhaps one of the best anime's of our generation
This anime was by-far one of the bests I've seen in my anime watching days, It has a brilliant story line along with a ton of mind blowing plot twists. The animation is Beautifully mastered. The voice actors did an amazing job (Japanese and English) and This anime had a decent soundtrack. I would highly recommend all anime lovers to give this a watch. If you're not hooked on the first episode and ...

  • A fantastic, well written anime!
I love this anime! Everything about it was great- artwork, music, characters, plot. I found it through my interest in Baccano!, and was hooked from the very first episode. I actually prefer it to Baccano, Durarara's characterization is better and the overlapping plots are much easier to follow. I want to go live in Ikebukuro!

    Big Durarara Love! Fantastic!
I love this anime! The artwork is well done, and the characters are incredibly flawed and complex. They all seem to shift from one sided to 3-d before you know it!
The story is well connected, and fun to follow!

  • A Show Well Worth Watching
Durarara was my first anime show. As someone who hadn't ever sat through an entire show before, I was surprised to find myself hooked by episode two; I ended up watching it all over the course of two days, which didn't allow me much time for sleep but was completely worth it.

I think what drew me into the show were the characters and the complex relationships between them. It seemed that ...

Lots of interesting plot threads all come together for something underwhelming.
So, this is one of those stories where there's a ton of characters and plots that all seem unrelated, but they gradually intertwine to make one story. The individual bits of this show are excellent, but after everything comes together in the final third of the show, there's very little payoff.

Still, it's a unique and fun show that is totally worth a watch.

Amazingly likable characters, second half weak
Durarara is one of my favorite animes. I really love all the characters (especially Izaya). Fans of Baccano will immediately feel at home with the first half of the show's fantastic plot structure and multiple character focuses. The series is also scattered with many assorted mysteries that are all really intriguing and keep you guessing right up until...the second half. The second half of the ...

  • Truly fantastic. I don't know how you can skip this
This was one of the most well made anime's I've ever seen. It tackles issues from a simple lighthearted perspective, as well as dropping hints of a much deeper reality. The mix of subtle as well as plain humor is great, and the action helps too
While I've recommended this anime to many younger kids, older people should watch it too, since it might be a little hard to catch all the little cues ...

  • Nearly a Masterpiece.
If you are patient with Durarara!, you will get rewarded. It's a slow build-up yet develops into a satisfying climax. This makes Durarara! above most anime series when it comes to story. What do you expect on a story from a light novel? Intelligently written, mature, and contains themes that is within the Seinen genre. If I was still in university, I would have chosen this topic for my project for ...
